All this shows me is Chad using poor judgement. If your going to drink stay home or dont drink so much to get drunk. It really shows that he is not commited to having a long NFL career, he is satisfied with his little bit of money. For a player that has not had a impact since being drafted he should be focusing on what he needs to improve on to make him a better player. The NFL stands for Not For Long. So Rhinehart you keep pulling stunts like this and you will be telling everyone I use to play profootball. Drinking is not a crime unless you are driving, underage, or drunk in public.

Wow, making mountains out of mole hills are we?

Look, guys in the NFL go out and party during the season and certainly after it. They're no different than anyone else in their same age group. 95% of the time you don't hear about things unless they screw up. In this case, I don't see where he was "pulling any stunts" or doing anything horribly wrong.

Rhino the Wino -- finally sentenced on the "public intoxication" arrest in January.

Redskins Guard Rinehart Guilty of Public Intoxication
Written by playerpress.com, Tuesday June 22 2010

In connection with his January encounter with the University of Northern Iowa police, Redskins guard Chad Rinehart has been found guilty of public intoxication by a Black Hawk county magistrate in Cedar Falls, Iowa

Rinehart, 25, a former All-American offensive lineman for the University of Northern Iowa Panthers who now plays for the Washington Redskins, paid $195 in fines and surcharges, as ordered by the judge who residing over Rinehart's trial.

Rinehart, who started four games for the Redskins last season, was arrested outside Mojo's Pizza House, a College Hill bar, on Jan. 18 after he set off the alarm by pulling on the restaurants door at 2 a.m. after the establishment had closed.

When the police officer who arrested Rinehart arrived at the scene said that Rinehart was still yanking on the locked door handle and that he had difficulty finding his ID, smelled of alcohol, was slurring his words, was loud and uncooperative and refused a breathalyzer test.

Rinehart was so loud and uncooperative the officer warned him that he would use his Taser gun on him if he did not calm down.

The magistrate said that she watched the video from the police officer's squad car camera three times after the trial. She said it showed Rinehart lose his balance and stumble backward a few steps, and the audio portion included a comment from a friend of Rinehart who said he had too much to drink.

During the trial, the defense suggested that a boot Rinehart wore to treat a leg injury made him sway when he stood.

Love it. In my younger years, I remember a TON of times like this.. Well actually, I *don't* remember those times, usually I had to piece them together with clues. I'd call my friends one by one and ask what happened the night before. Geez, those were good days. Glad I didn't get arrested for it!

This shows me a couple of things:
1) Rhinehart really wanted pizza that night. Had to be pulling on that closed door for >15-20 minutes!
2) Rhinehart needs new friends. What "friend" tells the cop that you've been drinking on videotape?
3) If the only story about Rhinehart has been this over the past few years, it tells me he needs to step it up to make the team by September.

I like that there's a three page thread on how much we don't care about this.... love the offseason.

And he was arrested because he refused to take a breathalyzer.

I am troubled by this, had Chad been coached properly he wouldn't have been pulling or yanking on the doors but rather dropped into a solid stance and run through them. Clearly this guy does not have the mindset or desire to succeed at the NFL level if he can't break into a pizza joint in Pigsknuckle Iowa and snag a few slices. Cut him.
