Now there are reports stating than karlos doesn't have a wishlist. I believe that the redskins were metioned to raise his FA value...
ESPN insider quotes him from a Sirius radio interview as saying the Chargers, Dolphins, Giants and of course the free-spending Washington Redskins top his wish list.

Cardinals will not place franchise tag on Karlos Dansby, according to team source (http://www.azcentral.com/sports/cardinals/articles/2010/02/18/20100218cardinals-karlos-dansby-franchise.html)
The Cardinals are prepared to let linebacker Karlos Dansby test the open market in free agency this year and will not place the franchise tag on him for a third consecutive season, a team source confirmed Thursday.
That does not, however, mean Dansby's days with the franchise are over. The Cardinals will monitor the situation when free-agent offers are allowed to be made and then decide then if they wish to make an offer of their own.
The team appears to be gambling that Dansby won't command as much as a free agent as he would as a franchise player, which could be as much as $16 million guaranteed. If we go 3-4, Jarmon may have to switch to OLB.
Dansby regularly has led the Cardinals in tackles, but this past season produced only one sack, one interception and one forced fumble
.
In a 51-45 wild-card playoff victory over the Packers, however, Dansby was a force. He deflected a pass that led to an interception, caused a fumble and recovered and returned another fumble for the winning score.
Dansby, a second-round draft pick
by the Cardinals in 2004, is said to be eyeing a contract that guarantees him around $30 million. Teams that have been linked to possibly having interest in him and vice versa include the Dolphins, Giants and Colts.
Dansby, who was unavailable for comment, has said on numerous occasions he wouldn't rule out re-signing with the Cardinals.
The Cardinals also are continuing negotiations with coach Ken Whisenhunt concerning a contract extension, although no new information was available Thursday.
$30 million? Maybe not, but he WOULD help the LB position tremendously and allow us to use another draft pick on the O-line since LB would be covered through FA.

If we upgrade the LB corps in free agency, i'd much rather go after Dansby. He's twice the player that Peppers is - and will come at half the cost.

True that.

I've wanted Dansby here for three years now...and I think this might finally be the year we get him
Him and Justin Smith.

Him and Justin Smith.
Justin Smith would be a nice pick up as a 3-4 DE. He's a hustle player with size and a resume to back it up. He could be available. I really think there's going to be a lot of options out there because teams are going to want to shed contracts.

You think Justin smith will be cut? What about Aaron Smith of Pittsburgh do you think he'll be cut?

Oh no, nothing like that. Smootsmack had been lobbying for Smith for a year or two before he became a free agent. Then the 49ers swooped in and offered him a deal. Smootsmack felt so bad and depressed that he only banned 8 people that day.

Justin smith is making a lot of money (in the third year of a 6yr/45 Mil deal with 20 mil guaranteed) and could be a cap-casualty. Aaron Smith,33, has 2 years left on a 5 yr/25 mil deal but he could too the way the Steeler cycle defensive players in an out from year to year. He plays DE in a 3-4.
