T.I. preparing to drop new album

Talent Impaired. hes a radio rapper. sorry to hate chevy but most people my age who grew up to true hip hop of the 90's really have a dislike for these non-talent jingle radio rappers. i was forced to have to associate with these wanna-be radio rappers for about a year in LA. not on TI's level of success but guys signed to major record deals trying to be the next TI.

i got chuckles when i would ask them about true underground hip hop guys like brother ali or mf doom and they wouldnt have a clue to who they were.
t.i. is one of the better radio rappers though.. if you pay attention to more than his MTV music anyways

I wanted to say something just like this, but I'm steadily finding myself feeling like an old crotchety man hahaha. I miss names like Big L, Tribe and Boot Camp.

Hmmm, he's definitely not as bad as some of the cats on the radio now (like lil wayne's entire crew), but i wouldn't put him as major league even at his best. If we're talking crazy lyricists of the present, I'd give that title to cats like Celph-Titled, Esoteric, Immortal Tech, Murs, etc... I think they'd rhyme circles around TI (but this is just imo, of course).

Funny you mention Doom too... dudes got crazy lyrics and wordplay. But I liked his delivery a lot more when he was with KMD. He just sounds real monotone and off-beat nowadays.

Okay but there are still some good rappers. Snoop is still going strong, Jay-Z is of course blowing up the charts constantly and then.. There's Kanye. Who is widely hated, but you gotta give him credit, he sells records.

But I guess Snoop and Jay falls into the 90's rappers category. If we should be talking about anyone's CDs I think they deserve a thread more than T.I.

And not everyone is a Soulja Boy rapper. Cause damn, he stinks. and dude, remember the Stanky Legg? Phew, thank God that song was merely a flash in the pan.

Haha thats cool with me! I knew that not many ppl here would be interested but just putting it out there in case someone knows him or cares :cool-smil T.I. is the only "radio rapper" I like. I especially can't stand hearing 50cent but that's another story :). I also like listening to a lot of underground rap from the 90's so I ain't hating on you :cool-smil

lol funny you said that b/c g unit and 50 signed rappers were the guys i was forced to deal with. spider loc, hot rod and a bunch of other bammas. kurrupt, gail gotti were cool and this hip hop band from san jose i forget the name of.

I enjoy his music, like I said I put up the thread because It's news to me. I like T.I. and I have no way of knowing what anyone here might like so I made the thread because I enjoy his music. I'm sorry if you don't like T.I. and made you come on here and type about how this thread is a waste of time nd bla bla bla (but apparently coming to a thread that you don't like and replying isn't a waste :)) I've seen some crazy threads on here like that Walmart thread that was mentioned and when I see a thread that I think is stupid or that doesn't interest me I dont find the need to go on there and type about how I disaprove the thread but thats just me. If it doesn't interest you I believe you have the option to not open the thread or even reply but to each his own I guess if it makes you happy to :food-smil. I promise I won't post about T.I. any more and I'm sorry for the huge inconvenience it was just something that was of interest to me but I'll try to keep it up to par with the other PL threads :)
