The "effort" on D is always a joke. They might as well just take the pads off and play flag football.

They don't let the defense play bump and run coverage or blitz. Plus there is the whole 'don't hurt anyone' stigma attached to every tackle and potential hit.
Making for the the game to be really awful.
I think that is the type of game we are heading for in the NFL. All offense and scoring and no defense. Boring!

I haven't watched the Pro Bowl in years, the only thing I use to kind of enjoy were the challenges like the QB and WR challenges, even then most of them didn't really try but I still enjoyed it more than the actual game. Do they even do any of those challenges or drills anymore?
Actually I think the QB's really want to win those skill games but they still remember its for fun and injoy themself.

Yeah how about David Garrard being in there?

His 2009 stat line: 15 TD, 10 INT, 3597 yards

Pro Bowl? Really?

HA HA HA!!

Wait... was Campbell there!??! I didn't see the begining. I swear, so many people dropped out, i thought the new JV-Probowl would start Campbell VS Brady Quinn!

You might be on to something LOTUS. Have the Pro Bowl as the Hall of Fame Game.

THe Hall of Fame game is a great idea. (imo) fewer reasons for players to say no, especially if it's in Hawaii. It would be even more awesome if a player that retires, like Warner, playes in the HOF Pro-bowl and has second thoughts.

As for the mid season idea, I don't know how much that would help. I mean, how do you vote someone into the probowl 'mid season'? Seriously, that would brobably make it worse. Like Brady would play in a mid-season pro-bowl. Attendance would be the same or even more lame.

As for people playing like pansies and linemen doing patty-cake, lol, all i think of in that respect is #21 blasting a punter like he stole something!

I say get rid of the Pro Bowl entirely. Name an honorary team for player recognition, but then hold a series of skill competitions. I'd be much more interested in a foot race between Chris Johnson and Ted Ginn Jr, or a clocked "fastball competition" between Cutler and Stafford, or whomever. Takes away the risk of injury and there would be bragging rights.

Except for Fletcher. He was all over the place. I was surprised to see him and Orakpo starting the game, but on that opening drive, Fletch made tackles on 3 consecutive plays. Probably though, because you're right and the other 10 guys on the D weren't trying.

It was nice to see Mario Williams crush Romo though. :)
Not sure if I'd call that a crush but its always nice to see him get hit.
