I watched it and thought it was pretty f*ing cool. First, being a Va Tech fan, I have the same type of hate for Miami football that I do for the Cowgurls. But I thought that documentary was great. I kinda like the shot in the arm it gave college football, they played the villians and dominated everyone rather easily. You need teams like that to shake it up every now and then...back then boring ass Notra Dame, Nebraska programs, I turned the channel on them. Plus back then the imagery of "Thug" was different, they were more "Rebels" againt the status quo college football scene.

But this Warren Sapp thing, f*ck him, lost a lot respect. Out partying all nite and then want to slap around your gurl that you dated for 2 years? This guy is b*tch, I hope he loses all his endorsements over this...

I agree about being rebels against the status quo of college FB, but they had plenty of arrests and thuggery as well.

First Michael Irvin, then Warren Sapp. What a surprise.

Yeah!! What's up with these guys? It's getting to the point where nothing really surprises me anymore. Every day you brace yourself for the next episode with guys that obviously don't seem to realize just how good they have it in the jobs they get after their playing days are done.

Wow I always thought Sapp was pretty funny and honest as an announcer and loved him as a player at the "U"...let's let all this settle before blackballing his ass ... It's not like he pulled a Gilbert Arenas

I guess sometimes having the world at your fingertips can't change who you are.

Sapp's a fool and as a skinz fan i obviously never liked Irvin... but c'mon guy! Don't blame 'The U'! Most of the best players we've had in the past 7 or 8 years have been from "The U"! Santana Moss, Clinton Portis, and a lot of you guys who are jumpin' in on this have Sean Taylor as your Avatar!!! A ton of great players came from there so when Sapp is an idiot, blame him, blame his parents, but don't blame the school guys. It's barely even a coincidence. If you look at all the good players that came from there and compare that to the list of knuckleheads... it's barely even coincidence.

You talk about "good players" and "knuckleheads" as if they are opposite. They aren't. Sapp is an example of a great player who also has done knuckleheaded stuff off of the field.

You do not have to be from the U to get in trouble - just look at Pacman Jones. But it remains true that, historically, a high percentage of players in trouble also have gone to the U. There is some connection between behavior and the school.
