I disagree. He had their backs and respect, unlike Murtha.
I'm not sure how sending people to die in a war for oil is having "their backs."

i hate his policies, and what he stands for, but never wish ill will on anyone. hopefully a speedy recovery
He was president for eight years without ever taking the oath. I hope his health will serve him well in his recovery.

Any US involvement in the Middle East, from Israel to Iraq has a lot to do with oil. I don't think this is a right or left thing, is just reality.

How about the fact that we had a detailed plan for seizing Iraqi oil assets before the war and began executing that plan immediately, yet we never had a coherent plan for creating a new Iraqi government? How about the fact that Iraq's oil assets are still being overseen by Halliburton, Cheney's company? How about the fact that Cheney and Bush are both investors in military companies like Bechtel, so with every shell fired, they potentially get a stock dividend? And all of this is just the beginning.
Or let me put it this way: McDonald's is the world's largest purchaser of potatoes. If McDonald's invaded Idaho, and said that the invasion was about freedom, not potatoes, would you believe them?

FactCheck.org: Kerry Ad Falsely Accuses Cheney on Halliburton (http://www.factcheck.org/kerry_ad_falsely_accuses_cheney_on_halliburton.htm l)
Of course there are ties from both parties to multiple corporations...none of this has anything to do with Cheney getting a heart attack
