I'm from Roanoke VA and I'd love to have watched a game with your father. Sounds like an absolute true Redskin. God Bless my prayers are with you.

Me and my family will be thinking about you. Skinny Tee 03-09-2010, 01:29 PM I know I don't post much on the board but visit often and love all the information I get here. I just wanted to let everyone know my dad, S. Wayne Stump of Roanoke Va. passed away on 3/3/10 after a short a bout with cancer. He was 80 years old. He was a huge Redskins fan and his basment with all his memorabilia was called "Wayne's Wigwam". He taught me how to cheer them on as well as how to let loose a curse laden tirade. He bled burgundy and gold and anyone who knew him misses him. He was laid to rest with the 3 Super Bowl pendants he gave me a few years ago. Sundays won't be the same for me any more. A true fan to the end....he asked a few hours before he died "Andy, did Washington win today?" I said "yes dad, they kicked the Cowboy's ass. He smiled. Rest in peace dad. My condolences LBrown. Hail to family and hail to the Redskins. celts32 03-09-2010, 01:32 PM My condolences to you and your family LBrown43. mredskins 03-09-2010, 01:50 PM Sorry for lost, RIP your dad! =( Riggo44 03-09-2010, 01:50 PM Sorry to hear about your loss LBrown. My prayers go out to you and you’re Family. freddyg12 03-09-2010, 01:53 PM I live in Roanoke & I just read your dad's obit in the R. Times. Sounds like he led a great life of service to his country & community. I don't know anyone right off hand that knew him, but if I asked a few people I could probably find someone that did. Sorry for your loss. Always carry on the B & G tradition for him! MTK 03-09-2010, 02:07 PM Sorry for your loss LB43 |
