Yes it does if you watch he slide but stops kind of quick. Thats because the wood splinters into him and stopping him.

Yeah I see he stops quick but it's just nothing dramatic. Certainly nothing to make you think he would die just hours later.

Wow that is scary. I played futsol or indoor soccer alot too in college. didnt know that could happen.
