Yeah, I actually had to meet her outside the place.
I had no clue camera's would be coming, so I really didn't know what to expect. One second I'm at the bar waiting for her to show, and the next I'm outside...camera's all around me... getting mic'd up. I literally was wearing a wire... it was weird.
The worst was the cab ride back to the house.
It was us in the back, and the camera guy in the front seat... just panning back and forth between us talking. I'm way awkward as it is, throw a camera in the mix and it's all over.
She was actually a pretty cool chick, definitely didn't have the stereotypical "real world" vibe. She kept apologizing for the absurdity of the situation.
lol I can't imagine having a camera in your face on a date

Yeah, Rock and Roll Hotel on Hst NE.
Nice little place. I just bought her a shot, and we started talking. She obviously couldn't resist me...
No, I think she just prob had to go on dates or something cause we went on one and I never heard from her again.
I still cry myself to sleep every night.
I was thinking that maybe they had "pretend" dates in order to liven up the show. Not to knock you dude. I saw TTHS on the first Real World it was so staged it was crazy.

The show used to be good back in the day before it became a train wreck of getting wasted, hooking up, and getting in fights. For some reason this format is more entertaining with guidos doing it (Jersey Shore).
That's the only reason i watch it.

maybe I'm way too young, cuz I don't know Puck well, but hasn't this always been the deal?
I do remember them having jobs in the same company though
I dig the expression outside of that.. but I'm not sure the depth is there

pretend date or not.. either the producers or the cast had to pick you out of a group

Nah not to the degree it is now. Early on especially in the first season the cast members were much more guarded and aware I guess of the cameras, what they said, and how they behaved. Now it's almost as if the wilder and crazier you are the better.
