Old news. They basically came out and said this during the Combine week.

he would play 3-4 DE. i liked him a lot coming out of college, but definitely hasnt lived up to expectations. would be wary about this for sure.

Exactly, he's not a FA, we'd have to trade for him. I don't like the move myself, unless we package up a few players and send it down for some picks/players.


Trade for him? Maybe if his name was Julius Peppers or Demarcus Ware, not some unproven commodity from St Louis!!!

Coming off a double-digit sack season, Carter should command some good trade coin. Carriker would not be my first choice but if, to boot, we picked up a draft pick (a third would be sweet), that might not be too bad.

If we get Carriker it might also increase the likelihood that the Rams take a DT with the first pick.

Very likely to happen if they trade Carriker. The thing with him is that a lot of folks felt he was better suited for a 3-4 from the jump and that he couldn't take a beating at DT like he has and now we're getting him with a bum ankle and two beat up shoulders.

I think something in that realm could happen. We might throw in Colt Brennan for good measure. I'm being serious.

Carriker doesn't come here in a straight up trade for Carter, and I can't see a scenerio where we're parting with draft picks, the few that we have, to make this happen either.

But we could trade draft picks and trade some of the players mentioned in my signature to get more draft picks, just to other teams.
