Agreed about Els. I love his game. So smooth. I also think Camillo Villegas is going to really have a break out year (Plus he's a Gator :) ) and make a run at a major.

This week in the DC area is going to see a lot of sunshine and temps in the mid-60s. About time to dust off the clubs!! I'm so ready for sunshine, golf, and shorts/t-shirts.

Same. I'm actually headed to Myrtle Beach this weekend with some college buddies. Main reason is for our fantasy baseball draft, but there will definitely be some golf on Friday. Forecast is 68 and sunny, can't beat that!

Scud I thought you'd like this read:

Tiger Woods return to Masters and Augusta was his best option - Tours & News - Golf.com (http://www.golf.com/golf/tours_news/article/0,28136,1972640,00.html?eref=sihp)

Here's what I think: Augusta National is designed for drama. A friend and I would often argue about what tournament is better: The U.S. Open or the Masters. What we decided is that neither is BETTER, per se; it just depends on what you prefer. The U.S. Open is real life. The U.S. Open is high rough, high winds, oppressive heat, putts that don't drop, survival. Some people prefer reality.

And the Masters? The Masters is Hollywood. The Masters is spring and azaleas and Easter bonnets and old Southern men drinking mint juleps on the veranda. The Masters is about reachable Par 5s and lightning quick greens and "rough" that needs quotations marks around it because there's nothing especially rough about it. The Masters is where Jack Nicklaus won when he was 46 and contended when he was in his 50s. The Masters is where gentlemanly Ben Crenshaw won after his game had mostly abandoned him. The Masters is where a hometown kid, Larry Mize, chipped in to win. The Masters is where John Daly was served divorce papers, where Greg Norman succumbed to his demons, where Phil Mickelson beat his.

I think Tiger is great for the game and a great golfer. I just hate the announcers and their love fest of anything TW does. I had a chance to go to the masters this year to see Thursday's round but could not go. I'm pulling for Phill but if he does not get his driver under control he has no chance.

Happy Birthday to Bob Jones, btw who I believe would have been 108 today? I think that's right.

I realized last year that it's not the Tiger-emphasis that annoys me about ESPN's golf coverage. It's Mike Tirico. I just really hate Mike Tirico.

But because it's the Masters I'll watch the whole thing. And by whole thing I mean, the internet live stream of Amen Corner and 15,16. I mean the par 3 tournament. Seeing that for the first time was an eye-opener. Next to this amazing course, there's another one in miniature with excellent fishing to boot which was apparently first suggested by President Eisenhower. My driving range has a snack bar.

1. Any Skins game
2. Any game where the Skins beat the crap out of the Cowboys
3. World Cup (yeah I know it is every four years)
4. Army v Navy football game. They are playing for the love of the game and I find that refreshing.

Why?? IMO Tirico is just about the best in the business, and he does NFL, golf, and the NBA, and transitions between the three with ease.
