damn shame because most irish beers are a 5 or 6 on the 10 scale too
Yup. And their food is lousy as well. Beautiful country. Mediocre beer, women, and food. I do enjoy a shot of Jameson every now and then, and Smithwicks is pretty tasty.

So I hear. At least there are gorgeous countries that have the women, beer, and food as well. Now me getting the chance to travel there is another thing.
I'd love to hit up parts of South America sometime, know nothing of the beer but 3/4 isn't bad right?
C'mon now... Ireland gave us the king of all beers, Guinness
I'm not Irish, and I've always thought St. Patty's day was kind of silly. I don't need an excuse to drink. :)
My irish Grandfather always says that today and New Years Eve are for amateurs, the real drinkers are partying all year. I'll drink to that.

No doubt. As far as bars/social life, St. Patty's day is just like New Year's Eve- amateur hour for sure. A wise man that grandfather of yours.

My grandfather lived by that. I take after him a bit. The drinking, not as much, aside from a really rough patch a week or so ago.
As a matter of fact, when my mother called to let my grandfather know that I was born.. he asked the date.. she said the 5th
He said, and I quote "The fifth? I'll drink to that."
I have no doubt that he did.

According to some probably I'm sure...
Guinness is a thing of beauty, not even up for debate

Somebody at work told me that a true Irish man takes off from workon St. Patricks Day. I told him that a true Irish man takes off the day after St. Patricks Day.
