That's not all, a 15 year old wielding a shotgun gets involved too!

Krystal Gardner must be really attached to her car. When a man tried to repossess the SUV on Monday, police say the 28-year-old Dallas woman threw her 1-year-old child through an open window and into the car’s back seat—a deranged but clever ploy, since state law prevents vehicles from being possessed while someone is inside, the Dallas Morning News explains.

The repo man hurriedly stopped the car and got out, only to be confronted by a 15-year-old boy with a 12-gauge shotgun, who fired one shot into the air and another into his leg. The man suffered only minor injuries however, and ultimately retrieved the car. Both Gardner and the boy, identified as Jessie Reyna, are in custody, charged with aggravated assault. Gardner also faces child endangerment charges, several outstanding traffic warrants, and a visit from Child Protective Services.

The good news is that the kid must be ok. This and the other Nanny thread made me realize that these little kids are pretty tough. Think I spent some good cash and a good day child proofing our house. I also treated my daughter like she would break if I picked her up or held her wrong.

People are crazy.

Does anyone know what the law is in VA about repossessing vehicles? I'm not sure but i think they can be repossessed with someone in them...

I know its against the law to tow a car with someone in it so I'm guessing its the same with repossessions. I can tell you from experience its scarry to ride in a car getting towed at 65 mph.

I would be surprised if they allowed repossession while occupied, even if the person was of legal age. Not to say that some repo agents wouldn't forcefully remove you from the vehicle.
