Here's some of what he's said so far:

Best part of what we did offensively, real physical approach rushed the ball well

Mark did a good job of getting rid of the ball

No turnovers which was huge

Clinton had a terrific game

I threw it twice in the second half because I didn’t want to take a chance, just went real conservative

Special teams: Our best effort

Our award winners on offense on offense were Randy Thomas and then Clinton Portis

We started the ball on our 35 yard line, theirs was 24. So we won that battle

Taylor Jacobs was in late last week, studied film, did a great job with that blocked punt

On defense, again another great effort. Held them to 2.7 yards per rush, 4.8 per pass

Felt like we had some lapses in there. One of our biggest concerns-two 15 yard penalties on the sidelines. One taunting penalty which we know goes against the rules

Doesn't sound a like a QB change will be announced today.

Some other things he's said

"Calling challenges will be a crapshoot all year"

"Some things affecting the passing game-pass protection, dropped passes, and Mark's been struggling"

When asked if he abandoned the passing game because of a lack of confidence in Brunell, he got a bit defensive:

"That's not what I said. It was my decision to go conservative, that was me. Had nothing to do with Mark"

Said that the Lions fumble toward the end of the game was a fumble and should have been called a fumble to allow Mariucci to challenge it, by calling it down by contact it didn't allow for the play to be reviewed

Has he been asked the question or directly addressed it?

I didn't hear him directly address it, I did have to mute it for a couple of minutes though to answer the phone

"Ryan Clark phenomenal"

"Cornelius Griffin, if there is a guy playing better defense in the NFC I don't know who it is"

I thought I heard someone at the end ask for the record if Brunell was starting . And Gibbs said Yes. Did anyone else hear that?

2 questions. Gibbs does realize that just getting rid of the ball doesn't equate to scoring points, some of those passes need to be completed, right?

Doesn't throwing twice in the second half make it obvious that Brunell isn't adequate at the QB position?

whoever the guy is that the redskins are paying to tell gibbs when to challenge a play needs to be shot in the head. that play they challenged wasn't even close, the qb was still two yards behind the line of scrimage when he threw the ball

I could be wrong but I don't think the guy in the booth is there to tell Gibbs when to challenge, he's there to tell him if a play is reviewable or not. It's still up to Gibbs to challange.

I hear all the positives from Gibb's but no negatives. I didn't hear the press conference but didn't anyone ask what he thought the team did bad?

I'm sure it's not defense, or special teams, or running.... :nono:
