Ruhskins 04-22-2010, 01:30 PM My gut feeling tells me that the Browns are going to trade up with us to get Eric Berry.
Ugh, I'm sick of hearing the whole rumors about trading up to get Bradford. If this does happen, I think I'm going to be done with this team. Talk about pulling a Vinnyesque move.
Monkeydad 04-22-2010, 01:32 PM Suh, Okung, and Saffold!!!!!!! Please let that happen, I promise I will be a good person from now on.
Oh and with our only other pick, Round 7, we take Leigh Tiffin, kicker from Alabama.

Can't wrap my brain around all the potential trades that could go down, but I expect at least 4 major trades tonight.
There are at least 40 players in the mix to be 1st rounders
Friday's 2nd and 3rd round could be more fun than tonight's 1st round. I hope that the Skins are involved somehow.
tryfuhl 04-22-2010, 01:57 PM I assume that's about mine...
I agree, I just can't see all these tackles going very high. I got a point where I was trying to take him with teams, but couldn't see it fitting. I'd be shocked if he falls that far, but I could see it and I think he'd be a great fit in GB
Yeah, should've quoted it, didn't know they'd sneak replies in on me before I got mine submitted
I agree that he'd be a good fit there.. I think that he'd do well here as well

Talk about pulling a Vinnyesque move.Trading up to get Bradford isn't actually a noticeably worse move than taking him at four. I mean, it is if you do what the Giants did in 2004 with it, but that's more of a valuation problem.
The Redskins FO seems quite convinced that a lineman is a luxury they can afford to pass on. With that said, all likely scenarios still lead to Russ Okung/Trent Williams.

Our office sounds like Vinny Part II.

If you actually believe anything that anyone with any team says about any prospect before the draft. :twocents:

It's ok Ruhskins, it'll all be better when we draft Bradford.
Edit: Or Berry -
Loud buzz on Berry at No. 4

Update: The suggestion of Eric Berry being picked by the Redskins is gaining a ton of steam throughout media circles. Read on for some background on the Redskins' thought process today:
Given ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter's relationship with Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, he might get a little more information from the man than anyone else. Luckily, he likes to pass the information on to you, so we all win. The latest snippet came during an appearance on Thursday morning on ESPN Radio.
Regarding the Redskins' definitely going with an offensive tackle at No. 4 overall, Schefter said, "I'm not so sure about that. It's the obvious pick and I think they have some things up their sleeve, is my guess." Schefter confirmed that the 'Skins are trying to move down from No. 4, but there's also a report from NFL Fanhouse that they're still trying to move up, too, to grab Sam Bradford.
Here's another suggestion that really isn't that wild, but would depart from the idea that they need to take an OT at No. 4: Michael Lombardi of National Football Post thinks that they could take safety Eric Berry.
We think before this day is through, the Redskins do have something up their sleeve, although it might involve later round picks being exchanged for a player or two that currently wears the burgundy and gold.
jdc65 04-22-2010, 03:10 PM If I was going to place my money on their choice. I have to say Okung. I think Berry is the only other guy in the mix, and only if a trade is made for a LT.
It's very hard for me to imagine anyone trading up to draft a Safety, a DT, or an OL.
I say 70-30 Okung-Berry.
If Bradford, Claussen, Bulaga or Williams gets picked, my dinner is coming up.

In the first round.. or first pick.. maybe
could just be a ploy to get people to trade up for Berry.. wouldn't be any diff from our get people to trade up for Bradford if he falls or Clausen type of deal
I'm pretty sure that we'll address the lineman position in one way or another
