why name it sportscrab and post it as being baltimore-based when the articles/coverage really doesn't give off that vibe? I mean there's a considerable amount of local stuff.. is it basically most will be local (like the O's loss article) and then just the bigger national stories will be covered?

yea, i'm not the founder/namer but i sorta agree. i guess he did a test launch last fall and had some success and it seems his goal is to grow it locally/regionally with the idea that the national success would follow it. i think his origial ideal was to have mostly local angles and/or make fun of rivals but i think it could and should think bigger than that.
i could see a need (possibly soon) to change that tagline on the site about "baltimore's...." and i'll probably change my sig as well.

yea SportsCrab as a name itself can just a be a subtle hint at its baltimore origins if/when it were to get more popular/national.
but i'm gonna mention your point about the Baltimore tagline cuz it's a good one. thanks.

hey everybody.....
haven't been around to do my usual shameless self-promotion lately.
SportsCrab is actually doing very well. i've even been a regular guest on Baltimore sports-talk radio to promote it.
here's all the recent stuff i've done for sportscrab (http://sportscrab.com/author/tlf18/), including making fun of Gruden, Wade Phillips, Ravens crying about refs, and a bunch of other stuff.
if you dig it, please share the general SportsCrab.com link will all your friends/coworkers and/or on facebook/twitter, etc....
thanks!
