Family Spends Seven Years At Sea...On PurposeSmootSmack 08-02-2010, 02:41 PM Crafton family enjoys rare closeness after seven years together at sea (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2010/07/31/ST2010073103147.html?sid=ST2010073103147) Monkeydad 08-02-2010, 02:52 PM Interesting bunch. Good for them if they found a way to live that way and find happiness as a family. The transition might be tough for the kids as they go to college, but it's something they'll remember forever and that not many people can accomplish. MTK 08-02-2010, 02:52 PM Wow, quite the story. tryfuhl 08-03-2010, 12:15 AM there are some weird ass people out there.. kind of admirable though MTK 08-03-2010, 08:08 AM Kinda reminds me of that movie The Mosquito Coast mredskins 08-03-2010, 08:50 AM seems interesting but those kids are going to have a tough time re-entering into the "real world". They have a very strong family though and for that alone they should be proud. KLHJ2 08-03-2010, 09:06 AM I fantasized about doing this with my family as well. Something keeps stopping me though. gafinfan 08-08-2010, 05:21 AM seems interesting but those kids are going to have a tough time re-entering into the "real world". They have a very strong family though and for that alone they should be proud. Do you really think so? I would think those kids would be grounded in ways other kids would be clueless about, what with cell phones, computer games, and mindless TV 24/7 filling their time. Not the best way to learn how to interact with your fellow man imvho. |
