Crafton family enjoys rare closeness after seven years together at sea (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2010/07/31/ST2010073103147.html?sid=ST2010073103147)

Interesting bunch.

Good for them if they found a way to live that way and find happiness as a family. The transition might be tough for the kids as they go to college, but it's something they'll remember forever and that not many people can accomplish.

seems interesting but those kids are going to have a tough time re-entering into the "real world".

They have a very strong family though and for that alone they should be proud.

I fantasized about doing this with my family as well. Something keeps stopping me though.

Do you really think so? I would think those kids would be grounded in ways other kids would be clueless about, what with cell phones, computer games, and mindless TV 24/7 filling their time. Not the best way to learn how to interact with your fellow man imvho.
