Smoot, i'm so sorry to hear about this. I dont know the specifics of the situation, but I hope you guys can get through this and your mom recovers.
Thanks BHA and all. The problem is no one knows the specifics, I mean doctors can't tell what's causing her illness. The belief/hope is that as soon as that's identified she'll be better. But until/unless they identify the cause it's pretty nerve-wracking, to say the least.

Earlier this year my mom was in the hospital for a week before they figured out what was wrong with her, and then we had to wait another few weeks for confirmation.
I know its cliché but just hang in there and try to stay positive.

I hope they can do the proper testing to get a diagnosis. My father has been having some health problems for the past few months too. He's been tested for just about everything and the doctors can't figure out what it is either. Fortunately, he hasnt had to be hospitalized, but he's continuing to decline. (So far, he's lost a ton of weight no matter how much he eats, is fatigued all the time, and his mental sharpness has declined dramatically). We're so used to doctors having all the answers, but there's still only so much they can do. If only there were a real life "House." Anyway, please keep us posted. Hopefully, you'll hear some good news soon.

Sorry to hear about your mother and she is in my prayers. If the doctors helping her now don't seem to be making any ground do not settle for that and ask for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinion until you find a doctor who can help her.

Keep your head up Smoot. I'll make sure I remember you, your parents, and your family when I kneel to pray. Stay positive and keep a smile on your face and in your heart. God Bless.

I knew a guy that had Lyme Disease for YEARS before it was finally diagnosed. Crazy.
