I can not say enough good things about the Samsung Galaxy platform. Apps I Like:

Timerific - Switching on/off phone features depending on time and day.
Appeak Poker - Great multi-player online Texas Hold'em game.
Listen - PodCast app by Google
ONN - Onion News Network
Redskins News
SportsTap and ESPN ScoreCenter - For scores...don't ever never use these app's widgets, they will suck the life out of your battery like nobody's business.
Opera Mini - Nice browser with support for sending compressed content.
Robot Defense - Desktop Wars like game.
Layers - App that points you the right direction if you're looking for an establishment.
Last.fm - Best music radio App IMO.
Google Voice - For those calls to Canada and my business partners in Nigeria.

Ive been using PdaNet for the last few weeks, and its now one of my most used apps. I think this might be a verizon/droid thing only. It allows you to tether your phone (use your phone as a access point). I'm using it to post this.

There are a lot of are you allowed to do this or not type questions out there. My friend got it first and had it a while and that settle any reservations i had about getting it. Also i think if you dont use it constantly youll never raise suspicions from your carrier. Also i think with verizon you would get a warning first if they can somehow prove youre tethering. ALSO there is a lot of bs out there about a unlimited, but really limited data plans for verizon. I doubled checked my plan and it definitly has no data limit, maybe new plans do but i doubt it. I think if you stay under 3gb youll be perfectly fine, go over 5gb on a regular basis you MIGHT raise suspicions (imo). Also I use my phone constantly and im average about 1.5gb (verizon mobile app).

One more Also. If you want to test it out but not buy it heres a tip. The free version doesnt allow you to go secure sites (https). But i accidently figured out a little get around. A little thing will pop on on the screen soliciting you to buy the full app. If you click on that you will go to either the paypal or the credit card site (both secure sites), then you can go to other secure sites in different tabs. Also the full version or the get around version works a little faster and keeps that annoying pop up thing from popping up.

Oh yeah something ELSE cool about it. When you get a text message it pops up on your computer screen and you can reply and keep a dialog going right from your computer. Its worth it almost for that feature alone.
