Portis may be our best blocker. Without him, McNabb would have been sacked a lot, especially from the Dallas interior linemen and LBs. Portis just nailed them ... repeatedly. He came to play and he proved to me (again) that he has no problem handling the truly unglamorous stuff. I recall a number of years ago he absolutely leveled a blitzing Sheldon Quarles (sp?) (Tampa). He blocks with a real purpose. Only one other back I can recall really did it with that level of effort, and that was Sweetness. And there's no higher compliment than that.

Yeah they came through our interior like crazy. Portis definitely shows up to block, hurls his body.

McIntosh played very well too. Allen better re-sign him quick.
That bad knee is still there, though. I would rather see Carlos or McNabb extended before Rocky.

I'm hoping for more of a Troy Polemalu top role for Landry, and he can catch the ball unlike Los.
I don't know if Landry's cover skills are on par with Troy's. I know Troy's an in the box safety but at the same time he does get a lot of picks, and at this point the Steelers rarely worry about putting him in deep zone coverage. Right now I think Landry is a better athlete thats on par with Polamalu's in the box play however the main difference between the two is the coverage and the ability to read offenses.
A slightly better comparison for Landry might be the player the Cowboys expected Roy Williams (the Safety) to become (not the guy they actually got). However I know that somewhere inside Landry is the ability to play deep zone coverage. We saw it back in 2007 when he replaced Taylor at FS, however since then it's regressed a lot. Maybe playing in this new scheme will help Landry regain his confidence and soon enough he'll be making picks.

Mike Sellers get a "you better get your shit together ball" because he is sucking, and not as good as he used to be, especially receiving the ball.

I think he's still traumatized by the Brandon Jacobs play. That's why he's always going for the BOOM! play instead of cooling if off just a bit.
