And I have to say that Pocket actually cares more about being objective than Scud. My $.02.

I feel like I'm pretty realistic and objective when it comes to this team. Not sure how apologizing for a distracting team cancer every chance you get is objective, but sure. You're entitled to your opinion. Monkeydad 09-13-2010, 01:54 PM ^ I'm sure Kyle will give Haslett some good tips...it's our only chance. Houston looks scary. Pocket$ $traight 09-13-2010, 02:12 PM ?? Do you think the team really cares that much? I would think if he was a distraction to his teammates, he would have gone long ago. Pocket$ $traight 09-13-2010, 02:16 PM And I have to say that Pocket actually cares more about being objective than Scud. My $.02. Thanks SCP. I know I say a lot of stupid stuff sometimes but when it comes to seriously discussing the team, I try to look at it from what is best for them. That is why I defended Landry at nauseum in the offseason for example. GMScud 09-13-2010, 02:19 PM Scud, I firmly believe that the fans are distracted. Do you think the team really cares that much? It's just frustrating when a player of his caliber won't buy into a proven successful system. The players can dumb it down as much as they want, but Haynesworth's antics are obviously more distracting than if he was just playing and playing hard. That crybaby look on his face when he was pouting by himself on the sidelines was just pathetic. Pocket$ $traight 09-13-2010, 02:23 PM Of course the fans are WAY more distracted than the team. That crybaby look on his face when he was pouting by himself on the sidelines was just pathetic. Was he really pouting though? I remember games last year when he gets in a type of "angry zone" when he plays. When he was pacing by himself, I saw it more as he is pumping himself up more than trying to send a message to the coaches. They played him after that, so I don't think he was causing problems. I wasn't on the sidelines so I don't know for sure. skinsfan69 09-13-2010, 03:18 PM With a little over 8:00 in the second, the center and guard moved him out of the play laterally on a big run. Commanding a double team is not getting "tossed around". I saw Haynesworth jack up their guy with a little over 4:00 in the 3rd. With 2:00 in the 3rd Gurode got the better of him initially, then he held Albert and didn't get called when Al recovered (per Collinsworth). So now that is twice that I have watched the game and still have no idea what you are talking about. I did watch Kemo get pushed back consistently on single teams and was like a rag doll on double teams. He is big and slow and gets zero push into the backfield. If all you Albert haters get your wish, get used to seeing our linebackers having to avoid 96 getting pushed over them. At this point AH is just another body in there. No more no less. He's really not a difference maker. He doesn't dominate and the defense can get the job down w/out him. Pocket$ $traight 09-13-2010, 03:22 PM At this point AH is just another body in there. I guess we will find out because the Texans are going to run until we stop them. SirClintonPortis 09-13-2010, 03:24 PM ?? More objective in general or just about Haynesworth? You're entitled to your opinion. Even team cancers can have their share of good or ok plays. That's what he's trying to point out. If you want to deny the plays that he was alright on though, provide evidence said plays didn't happen. Simple. |
