Pocket$ $traight 10-03-2010, 11:47 PM Pssst, this is a goat thread.
Good point, I didn't say it wasn't. Btw. Haynesworth rulz and you aren't allowed to jump on the bandwagon.
Lotus 10-03-2010, 11:51 PM Other than a being a big win, on the road in Philly, where the defense looked much improved against one of the NFL's better offenses, where we got some good contributions from relatively new players, which pulled us into a lead for the division, this game was meaningless.
Dread-Skin 10-03-2010, 11:52 PM Huge win!
And Banks should not be on the field when we're near the goal line.
Yeah, by that time I was really suprised to see Kyle try to plug BBanks in by any means.

He is all yours. I am told his crotch is the best seat on the wagon...I hope you called shotgun on it.
Pocket$ $traight 10-03-2010, 11:55 PM With all the pink gear on the field one could infer that the NFL is trying to tap into the gay sports fans market but that doesn't make it a wise inference.
Nice talk, Russ...
SmootSmack 10-04-2010, 12:03 AM SCP said it didn't mean much.
You talked about the people who said this was all luck and were completely negative (although I can't help but think about you defending Saden's Goat thread 5 minutes after we beat Dallas).
At the end of the day, I am with you. If you win a game that puts you in first place, it is a big game. My 3 year old could figure that out.
Well I must have missed that from SCP but I'm not sure he's thinking rationally tonight. He was so convinced all week we were going to lose, a Redskins W is probably messing with his head.
Apart from a Super Bowl win, I think its fine and good to have civilized discussions (even after a win) on where the team struggled and calling them out on it. I think that can be done while still appreciating/enjoying a win. And those like me, the "blind kool-aid drinkers" are capable of noticing our faults and where we need to improve.
It's all the "Oh my God, we're totally going to lose the game now" posts after a 7 yard gain on 2nd and 14 for the Eagles at their own 19 yard line trailing by two TDs late in the 4th that make no sense to me. I'm going to kind of call someone out here. I've seen a couple of games with someone here. And he couldn't be a nicer guy. But watching a game with him... I wanted to jump off the roof of a high-rise then fire a bullet in my mouth. It just took all the fun out of watching football.

Too distracted by Cutlers bad game and concussion.
SirClintonPortis 10-04-2010, 12:43 AM I meant it didn't mean much in the sense of evaluating the "power" of this team. All this game showed is that we're more "powerful" than the Eagles, but only everrrrr so slightly. Both teams seem rather mediocre(Iggles with Kolb, that is.), and we've done NOTHING to show that we're better than mediocre.

Also, geniuses, here's the dude who really said this game was meaningless.
