Why would the team hold back on offense? Does Donovan just mean 40% of the playbook? Yardage wise we are better than last season, but we still have red zone blues, and still can't play a full 60 minutes of good offense.

Good job on opening script, not so much once off the script. KS has to start doing a better job of in-game adjustements. What I'm wondering is if Kyle and Mike are doing such an unbelievable job on the script that it's completely masking the fact that our offense really, really sucks.
Maybe we're just completely outclassed by NFL defenses as a team (after the first half), but we can stretch a few really good playcalls against our opponents over a half to give us a lead to hold in the second half.
Because the alternative is that we just suck at making adjustments.

Our offense in the second half of the Philly game just seemed disjointed and out of whack. To me it is boiling down to a line that still needs to be seriously upgraded, as well as a new WR corp. None of the guys on our Wr corp are going to be here in a couple seasons with the exception of Santana. If DT didn't garner any trade interest, that tells me that guys like Banks and Austin have really no business being in the NFL, as DT has way more raw talent than they do, minus Banks' speed of course. My god our Wr corp of the early to mid 90's was head and shoulders better than this group. We are in for a 2-3 year rebuilding effort, and that is if we finally get smart with our drafting.

^ DT may have had raw talent but it didn't equal field talent, or maybe his so called talent was not a fit in MS's scheme? But none of this means a hill of beans in regards to Austin or Banks. We have only seen limited field time for them. We've seen a ton more time of DT compared to Austin and Banks.

Newbies shouldn't be allowed to start threads until they've been here a while. I agree with whizzing behind a bush, above.
Way to make someone new feel welcome.
Great going, guys.

What happens when Torain goes down with a significant injury? Who runs with the rock then?
We just cut our 2nd round pick wide-out that was drafted a couple of years ago. This guy albeit was not so much as sniffing the field on offense. But, he was running back some nice kick-off returns, and getting us some nice field position.
I think we are F'ed.
IF Torrain goes down, then both my fantasy teams are ruined but worst of all we hand the ball off to our NEW Ladell Betts or Rocky. unfortunately - K.Williams. I don't think this guy is worth all the screens and dump offs, he doesnt have ability to make anyone miss and it be worth a shot down the field where is fred davis at?
IMO, this year is underway and coach will do whats right and next year we have an attractive team with plenty of opportunity for FA's.

mark it down.....we will see vast improvements on offense with Torian running the ball. This team has been starving for a fast back and you will see what this franchise has needed for the past 4 years. Torian will create a passing game and give the defenses fits.He is a "different pace of a back".........definition..............he has 3 steps on Portis. Don't get me wrong I am a Portis fan but I know when a RB has lost some wheels and he has been slow for 3 years now. It is time we addressed the backfield and now we will get an eye opener. The good news is...it works out in our favor.
Since no one else would do it, I guess I will. Are you ready to eat crow now? As we clearly saw today the Redskins rushing problems go beyond Portis... Hell, even if the Redskins can't run the ball, with Portis in there McNabb doesn't get knocked down or sacked as much as he did today, Matthews would not have given McNabb that much trouble with Portis back there to pick up the blitzes.
We need to face it our rushing game has HUGE problems the goes beyond who is carrying the ball. I wanted in the worst way to see Torain bust out today, but he couldn't behind that "patchwork" line, at best....

Torain isn't a feature back, we need to definitely still concentrate on upgrading the o line and we also need to get Keiland more involved to become more physical in the ground game and to give Torain a break.

so according to some of you CP26 has not lost a couple steps?
the only team in the NFL to have the same featured back since 2004....
