As long as neither the Yankees or Red Sox win the World Series, I consider it a successful baseball season. I feel like I'm totally generalizing, but lately it seems like fans of both teams are more concerned with hating each other than watching the live product.
Go Nationals next year! :D
I say since the 2008 season the Phillies have taken over the Sox in that regard. I was glad to see them lose last night, so glad!

Kinda fitting that A Rod got the last out against the Rangers

Did anyone else see the bottom of the 8th inning in last night's game? That entire inning turned on the 3-1 pitch to Huff with two outs and the bases loaded. That it was called a ball wasn't a bad call, but it wasn't a good call either. The strike zone box Fox displays showed that the pitch indeed hit the upper part it, although McCarver's point that pitchers don't get good calls when they are otherwise pitching erratically was legitimate. When Holland was taken out of the game after walking Huff and they went to a commercial, I rewound that pitch three times to take more looks at it. Tough, tough call.

What format does the WS follow? I thought they followed the 2-2-1-1-1 format, but since today's 5th game is at Texas that isn't the case. Do they go 3-3-1, or 2-3-2? I thought today's game would be in SF, but that's not the case.
