It's all about the money I guess.
Their lawyer probably said they owe him the money either way so they are just letting him ear the money. I really don't think the show would survive without him.
Of course they want him back, it's all about the $$ and he's more popular than ever.

Ive only seen the show a couple times. If he come back i would definitely check it out along with A LOT of other people who havent really watched the show before.
The moral to the story would not be a good one though....

Somehow this whole episode seems like an episode of the show. For those who watch, remember when Charlie had no work, had to borrow from his mom, then gets a gig singing kids songs.
Somehow, they will work every aspect of this into the show and they will all laugh while making millions. (I'll laugh too, cuz i like the mindless humor)
