He had said Sunday that Phillips isn't quitting either.


"Wade is going to keep fighting," Brooking said. "We're not going to lose him. I have so much respect for Wade, the man, [and] that he is the coach, the success that he's had in this league. In saying that, it's none of my business as far as what Mr. Jones is thinking and the decisions he's going to make. I fully support Wade. I believe in him and he's our head coach and that's the only way you can look it."

What he said is precisely what a team leader has to say in the situation that the Cowboys find themselves in. Until and unless Phillips is fired - - reports are that he has been fired but I have not heard that from his or JJ's lips on TV yet - - Brooking and other leaders in that locker room have to stand with their coach.

And when a new coach/interim coach is named, it will be necessary for all the leaders in the locker room to rally around him - - - even if the new coacn/interim coach is one of the assistants on the team who has been one of the architects of the 1-7 disaster that is the 2010 Cowboys' season.

When they do that, they will not be morons then either...
