If Campbell was still the QB this team would be 2-6.

I think that is being....charitable
For all the things McNabb is not, to his credit he has avoided a Shitload of sacks through our porous line.
We have seen all to many times JC's elusive Gazelle like manuevers, confound even the most...ardent of would-be tacklers......right?

I think this is a silly question. Really a franchise qb is all a team needs to compete for any given game. A left tackle can not do that. Yea we wouldnt be as good for the next few years, but it would DEF pay off in the long run. We can make a respectable o-line within the next couple of years without williams, but an elite qb is something that is near impossible to come across unless you have a top pick. Make no mistake, bradford WILL be elite a few years down the road.

Vinny Cerratto? Is that you? I did not know you were a member of this sight.
How has the unemployed life treating you? Playing golf?..star in another movie?

Vinny, if there is one thing you should have learned from the disaster you created here in Washington is that a strong offensive line, healthy running game and balanced attack is more conducive to winning than just having a great franchise Qb, a pass happy offense and a weak O-line.
Ask John Elway, he was on some pass happy teams that got blown the FU*K up in several superbowls. Embarrassing!
Elway was the "ultimate franchise QB" and it wasn't until 1997 that a strong run blocking O-line was put together and Terrel Davis appeared before they came close to winning a SB. Terrel Davis was MVP of Denver's first SB rushiing 30 time for 157 yards. Elway had 123 yards passing.

Same can be said about the other "great Franchise QB" Peyton Manning.
In the only SB that Manning has won, Joseph Addai and D. Rhodes accounted for 190 yards rushing on an amazing un-Peyton Manning like 40 carries. Probably the last time a Peyton Manning team ran the ball 40 times in a game.
Manning had a very pedestrian like SB with one TD 247 passing yards.

Well, he did say "competitive", not Super Bowl bound.

However, there has never been a Super Bowl where only the QB was the good player on the team and everyone else sucked.

AND you can have a dominant team and win a SB without that level QB, if you have a dominant line.........and a few other components.

So watching Fox NFL Sunday today, and Jay Glazer said that the idea of benching McNabb has come up a while ago, as a matter of fact, Glazer said that Kyle Shanahan said that he wanted to bench McNabb the eagles game, should he of done poorly.

Right now I don't really see McNabb being here next year, but I could see us franchising him and trading him to like the Cardinals or Vikings.

Peter King did report that the Redskins were in attendance at the Stanford Washington game, being that they have two future first round QB's playing in that game, Andrew Luck (the next Peyton Manning according to some of the ESPN analysts) and Jake Locker (whom some say his best comparison is John Elway). I say we could get our future QB in the second or third round next year, his name...Ricky Stanzi. Read my thread as to why we should draft this guy.

Yeah that was mentioned last week about McNabb, not sure how legit that is but Glazer is almost always reliable. Don't read much into going to scout players, it's what teams do. Not sure what thread of yours I'm supposed to be reading about Stanzi but as a Hawkeyes fan, I love Stanzi.

Forgot to finish my thought on Stanzi. I love Stanzi, but realistically he's not higher than probably a 5th. His arm strength isnt all that and he's not the most mobile guy. I'll check out your Brady thread
