Interesting, My Grandfather was a Skins fan and my father was a Skins fan and that is the reason I am a Skins fan. Dad put the Redskins hat on me at birth. I now have 3 boys of my own and I have to admit, I hesitate to curse their life, so I tell them to watch all the games and pick the team they like best.

Sad that I actually have to do this with my boys, but as most of you guys that have been a fan for 20 years or more and have young boys, know what I'm talking about. Thats a testament to how bad this team has been and how hard it has been to suffer as a fan for life.

Thank God some of us got to see the 80's team but, that was a long time ago.

So I share anyones frustration and hold nothing against them for expressing themselves as loud and nasty as they want to be.

Wow, that is both sad and you're a good dad, lol. Don't burden them with liking the skins, can't have your heart broken year in and year out from such a young age. (personal experience)

I personally think being a Skins fan is great. And dealing with the losing, frustration, etc. has made me a better person.

I would not have it any other way. The opposite would have been rooting for any front runner, and constantly changing teams, etc. If everything is always a good time and an easy win, that is not reality. True passion isn't developed either, unless you have experienced the lows.

That's not saying the loss wasn't embarrassing and pathetic, but I am bigger and better than to just let emotional and anger drive my thoughts.

So you like bitch and moan over and over? At least bring sort of substance of what you would change or what direction is needed. Offer freakin solutions. And please remember the disaray this organization was in just last year. I was angry and fed up last year, because we hit bottom after ten years of Vinny and Danny running sh*t.

But you need to at least acknowledge progress from that and realize Shanny and Bruce just took the reigns. It takes at least a couple years to build.

If his rant said anything it's that he learned exactly nothing from his forefathers who were Skins fans. They lived when the Skins were some shit, utter shit. We were blessed to be born when they were a force to be reckoned with. Now it's our time to suffer until things get better. This is the beauty of being a fan. If you choose to be a diehard then dealing with the storms are a part of the deal. There aren't always going to be Super Bowls every year. I wish there were but, they aren't. You're not always going to be successful, sometimes things go bad. In our case they have been going bad since Joe Gibbs retired the first time.

The guy at the Metro waited for me and laughed at me until my train got there. I reveled in it, but Chad needs the Skins to look good so that he can feel validated as a Skins fan ? Did he tell Lavar off about the many times that the Chad Hutchinson's, the Alex Wrights, and the Quincy Carters of the world had their way with the Skins ? Did he talk about how the Bills bootlegged the Skins to death when Spurrirer was here ? Did he ever ? And why do I bring Lavar up ? Because of that little "get 'em" crap. Really dude ? Really ?

The Skins got punished so the F what ? Move on and take your lumps. If you can talk shit when you win then you DAMN well better be ready to hear it when you lose. I took my best friend (who is a Texans fan) to the game this year. I talked more than a little bit, and do you know what ? I enjoyed him seeing his team win, I was pissed but you win some and you lose some.

Grow up Dukes. Stop trying to eduacate me on how to be a fan while being the exact opposite. Find a team that won't let you down so I can talk shit about that team when the time comes youngster !
