For next season the Redskins need to keep Trent Williams and bring up Selvish Capers/Erik Cook from the practice squad and release every other player on their O-Line. Then use their 1st and 2nd round picks on O-Lineman to get two more talented players. After the draft sign a bunch of young free agents and see if they can find any players to build some YOUNG depth. Till we get a solid O-Line our offense will continue to stink. We have to be able to run the ball to set up playaction and the longball.

I agree with the idea of drafting more o-lineman, but lets not overlook the fact that the line has been playing much better of late, especially considering the defense lines the Skins have been up against. Yesterday's 7 points was a combination of careless turnovers and dropped passes. The line was giving McNabb time, especially considering it was against the Giants.

Let Houston cut him loose, than pick him up.

It is very obvious that we need o-line help. Everyone knows that. The is the first priority. But this offense also needs a homerun hitter too. I'm thinking with a little coaching up with the fumble problem, like Tiki Barber got, this guy would be a perfect fit here.

I'd be fine with them drafting a WR with the first pick and attacking the Oline in Free Agency

I'd be fine with them drafting a WR with the first pick and attacking the Oline in Free AgencyI'm only fine with this approach if the O-lineman is 27 or younger. I don't want a 34 year old Olin Kreutz on the downside of his career. If we're going to give big FA money to a lineman, it should be for a guy whose best football is still ahead of him. Nick Mangold would be an excellent upgrade at C, and he will only be 27 next year.

I completely agree, but Nick Mangold is a Pro Bowl center, and you know he won't come cheap. And who's to say the Jets will release him? Just because his contract might be up doesn't mean the Jets don't want him back.

Mangold isn't going to be a FA folks, the Jets locked him up back in August

How the Nick Mangold contract negotiations were resurrected (http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/2010/08/how-the-nick-mangold-contract.html)

Ouch. Mangold is a moot point then. I heard his sister plays football though. Maybe she can play better than Rabach at this point.

The reason he was benched is fumbleitis. He's got a serious fumbling problem, and I wouldn't want him unless it had been corrected once and for all. And if did trade Haynesworth to Houston, I would def. want way more for him than a running back buried on the depth chart. 2nd rounder and Slaton might be nice, provided Slaton corrects his fumbling problem. Houston might not want him though, although I'm not entirely sure how comfortable they are with Amobi Okoye down there.

If the Houston GM would even listen to an offer of Haynesworth for Steve Slaton and a 2nd round pick, you had better check his blood alcohol level. It is probably in the .30 range...

Albert Haynesworth's value on the trade market MIGHT be a conditional sixth round pick.

If the Skins don't like that deal, they have two choices:

a. They keep Haynesworth one more year.

b. They release Haynesworth/waive Haynesworth and get nothing for him.

Were you not part of this site when his sister was?
