I reallly think trading McNabb has to be on the table for the Skins. His value just goes down hill after next season and I siimply don't think he'll be that much of a difference maker next year or the following that warrants keeping him around.

Let's get some of those picks back I say.

Who is going to want him? The only team I can think of is Arizona if they miss out on Andrew Luck....even then they are just as likely to draft Locker or even Newman as to give up a draft pick for McNabb IMO

Draft the best NT with our 1st pick, 2nd get the best WR (assuming quality is there), move Heyer to RG, give Cook the start these last 3 games to see what we have in him.

With the rest of the picks, best available talent.

The OPs list is a little too optimistic, if we achieve 15% of that then it will have been a pretty good offseason. OL isn't going to get turned around in a year, it's gonna take a few years. I don't see us letting go of Moss because he's a decent player, just hasn't had a QB to throw to him.

I think next year should just be an F' it year. Draft a QB, restock the OL and just let them go out and get game experience.

I honestly believe this roster is VERY poorly constructed. Honestly, I think there are a lot of things that need to be done...tons of areas to be addressed.

First of all, I'm releasing people who symbolize what the Redskins have been for the last decade: mercenaries. I think that probably includes: Haynesworth, Moss, Portis, Hall, and probably Jamaal Brown. At this point, they're not playing up to their contracts (although, I've always really liked DeAngelo Hall) and they represent a bad strategy for constructing a football team.

In addition to cuts: I'm letting Rogers walk and if Buchanon's contract is up, I don't know that I'd try TOO hard to bring him back. This category is actually probably a better fit for Jamaal Brown than the previous one as I believe his contract is up. I wouldn't break the bank to bring him back and I wouldn't kill myself trying to get him signed early either. If he wants to come back at a low salary, commensurate with his disappointing play, I'd bring him back, otherwise, good luck trying to find somewhere that hates their QB enough to let you play LT.

Beyond that, I'm looking at underachievers/poor players. There a few guys in that category for me: Lichtensteiger, Rabach, Moore, Doughty, McIntosh, Carter, Kemo, and Hicks. Now, I'm not saying get rid of all these guys, but they'd, at the very least, end up in training camp battles. Really, I think Rabach fits into my "mercenary" category and should probably be cut, but beyond that, I have a hard time getting rid of the other guys on the list as I believe they're all, at least, hard workers who could provide good depth.

The problem with having this many players to replace is the lack of draft picks this team possesses. However, we should remember that while Capers and Wood have shown nothing, they are part of the organization. Maybe one can be a starter at some point next year the other could provide some depth. I actually liked what I saw from Heyer at guard and think this idea should be given more thought, I've always thought he didn't have the quickness/feet for the tackle position, but I think he could probably stick at guard. Hopefully Capers could make that a viable option (I doubt this would be the case, but I'd love to find out).

At the end of the day, this team is pretty bad. The roster has a lot of mediocre players who make tons of money and make it seem like they're ready to compete. I think we're finding out that, right now, this team is not ready to compete. I think the whole thing needs to be blown up and a full scale rebuild needs to take place. Forget about the next 2 or so years and rebuild the team.

If Mike Shanahan doesn't have the stomach for that, I don't know that I care, but it has to happen. If he says, "I didn't sign up for this" and wants to quit, I think I'd let him. I'd hire a young, hungry coach and give him the reins for a few years. I draft a QB in the mid rounds and let him learn under Donovan for a few seasons and then turn it over to him unless I'm floored by a first rounder either this year or next.

At this point, this team has to realize that, as they're currently constructed, adding pieces isn't going to win anything. They have to blow this roster up and start over. They're a terrible team right now and thinking that Santana is a 1 or that Portis is a starter or they're OL help away is asinine and the exact same thing we've gone through for the last decade or so. Yeah, they made the playoffs from time to time, but I think that just made them think they were better than they are. They kept aging stars to their own detriment and now they're stuck with a roster of overpaid, overrated losers who are never going to win a SB.

It's time to change everything at Redskins Park and it needs to start with hitting the Reset Button.

scott tolzien of wisconsin would be a good look for a late round qb to try and develop i think.

tyrod taylor from VT in the 5th round maybe if hes there as well.

Tyrod Taylor is a good college QB but no way is he NFL material.

If i were GM I would tell Danny Boy and Shanny Boy no more trading draft picks for players ever again.

We wouldn't bring Champ back, nor should we.

I wonder if the expected front office moves (below Allen) will actually happen?

I know there was some story about him leaving DC due to a woman he had an affair with. Otherwise, any reason Shanahan wouldn't want to bring him in as a 3rd cb to replace or pair w/Buchanon? I would love to see him back as an affordable depth signing, but don't see him starting ideally.

Putting the off the field stuff aside, Champ wants out of Denver and wants to be on a SB contender, which we aren't.

I know the Skins are working hard and apparently close to locking up Los (and not as close, but coming close to an agreement with Brown.) Not sure about Buchanon and Barnes, my guess is they let Buchanon test the market and Barnes gets another summer to prove he belongs.

I'd seriously consider trading Hall (though I think the hate for him by some fans is too strong) and draft Prince Amukamara. Really doubt we'd trade Hall though.

Sign Los? Why? I'm ready for him to be gone
