Sean Taylor at LB?SmootSmack 12-12-2004, 12:13 AM i'd rather someone else spy on mcnugget, i like sean playing in his regular spot so he can make plays all over the field for us LOL. McNugget. That's great! offiss 12-12-2004, 12:18 AM Taylor would be ideal to spy on McNabb the problem with that is you take him out of our secondary and away from TO, I think it's more important for Taylor to provide help on TO and allow another LB to spy McNabb, I would go with Clemon's he's our fastest LB by far, perhap's throwing some 3-4 at McNabb would help with that, the way to deal with a mobile QB like McNabb is to take away his go to reciever, keep the pass rush in their lanes so they collapse the pocket around McNabb then you can have a guy like Pierce in the middle ready to pounce on him when he comes squirting out, you have to control his scrambling you can leave him an out but if he takes it there will be someone waiting for him, Richie Pettibone was a master at that, our defensive line has to stay disiplined and work as one cohesive whole, if 1 player goes out of his lane and misses which usually happen's with McNabb 1 on 1 then he has an uncontrolled escape route, but if we take away TO and force him to stay in the pocket, or run to where we are ready for him then we can really fustraight him, not to say he wont make some play's but it will continually become more difficult for him, then we have to really control the ball and take time off the clock we don't need to score everytime but we have to be able to get first down's consistantly to shorten the game which should add to his fustration of not being able to stay on the field and that's when guy's start trying to force thing's and that's when I want Taylor in the secondary, we really haven't froced team's into a must situation this season and that's when Taylor will be at his best when team's have to move the ball or their in trouble mode, Taylor should be like a lion on a wounded gazel in that secondary once that circumstance is created. heybigstar 12-12-2004, 01:57 AM the hurricane will have the spot light on Sunday Night - biggest game of the season.... GoSkins! 12-12-2004, 08:19 AM I'm sure that WIlliams has watched the game film from the last meeting and has devised some way to try to frustrate McWhatsHisName into making some bad throws. I think that for us to win this game, either special teams or defense has to score. What I hope is that what we saw last week is classic Gibbs football. What I mean is adjustment to the team we are playing. If Gibbs can look at the game film against Philly and see what worked and what didn't, he should be able to string together a few more first downs. That, combined with fewer penalties could have won us the last game. I think that the birds could be in for a hard time tonight.:smashfrea Daseal 12-12-2004, 10:25 AM Guys - we owned McNabb in the first half. I really think we should have gone up by 10 points in the first half. If we can play the way we played last game only keep our defense off the field a bit longer and have some actual drives then we'll be fine! If we can play the way we played last game only keep our defense off the field a bit longer and have some actual drives then we'll be fine! Seriously, that game was no where near a 28-6 asskicking. We were very mcuh in that game. The final score proboly should have been like 20-14, but we couldnt score on offense and then they punched in another TD to be jackasses. If we can sustain any type of offense like we did last week, I think were gonna put up one hell of a game. azskinsfan2 12-12-2004, 10:48 AM Having Ramsey in there this time instead of Brunell could be the difference. Also keep using Portis like last week. We can beat these idiots!@! Gmanc711 12-12-2004, 11:19 AM Having Ramsey in there this time instead of Brunell could be the difference. Also keep using Portis like last week. We can beat these idiots!@! Ramsey did play the last game. it was the first one he started. But if you meant that having him in rythm with everyone, I agree. He was still getting things going during that game, and you can see how he has progressed with his timing. I think he should do alright tonight aehs77 12-12-2004, 11:40 AM i suggested this months ago and you guys roasted me for it. but sonny said it this time so it even sounds like a better idea to me MTK 12-12-2004, 12:38 PM I trust Williams knows what he's doing and knows what ST is capable of. Just one more thing for the Eagles offense to think about. |
