I'm guessing "lack of effort" can be subtle and one would have to watch the many Texas games Rak was in to get a clear picture of what exactly is meant by "lack of effort".

But whatever, if there was an issue before I don't see it now with Orakpo and I think we'd all agree we're happy he's on our team

..............and you know this ....how?
How do I know? I usually hang out on other teams fan sites and mock them but pathetic use of time aside you figure 3rd year guy, coming back into the same system for another year, the addition of Boldin/Stallworth/Houshmanzadeh to throw to, 2 starting quality backs and a good OL, an impactful defense - I mean what more do you want. I live in Baltimore Im familiar with the Ravens. I'm a Skins fan familiar with the Zorn debacle. Ive watched Cam Cameron since he arrived in Bmore- HAVE YOU???
You look at Flacco's numbers and while his TD went up, INt's went down, YET his passing yards remained low around 3200-3500 yds.
I almost reject your question. You see there is a team called the Ravens if your not familiar. This conversation sorta needs a prerequisite of Zorn/Ravens/Cameron/Flacco/Skins- to which Im qualified not too sure about where your coming from on this.

Does Zorn make the jump to media analyst? Is he capable of that?
Interesting that Flacco wanted him to stay

This says that team brass approached him & tried to get him to resign in midseason. It was discussed here at length & many columnists speculated w/good reason that the hiring of Sherm Lewis was an attempt to get him out, but this makes it sound definitive that he was asked to quit.
Harbaugh: Zorn report is “inaccurate and unfair” | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/28/harbaugh-zorn-report-is-inaccurate-and-unfair/)

Zorn was fired. Plain and simple. If the organization thinks he could help with the continued improvement of the team, basically a contributor he would still be a Raven today. Obviously they thought he couldnt be. Their GM is maybe the best in the game, if not, one of the top 5...I trust what he did was not a mistake.

One of the main reasons why the Ravens fired quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn was his teaching methods, according to a league source.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron spent all day Tuesday questioning Zorn about how he was coaching quarterback Joe Flacco and were concerned about Zorn being insubordinate, the source added.
Harbaugh disputed this report, saying it is "inaccurate and unfair to Jim Zorn" and "in no way does it describe Jim’s relationship with the Ravens, and that includes with his fellow coaches while here and our players."
But Harbaugh didn't specify any reason for Zorn's termination. "Jim’s departure from the Ravens will remain as private as these matters can be," Harbaugh said Friday, "but we feel it’s necessary to at least point out that this report is inaccurate. It is not true in any way, shape or form.”
