More punts than any other team:

Tom Tupa for MVP. This guy has saved us scores by himself (tackling in Pitt and awesome kicks!)

This guy should get time and a half. They have obviously used him a lot more than he bargained for when he signed on... :tongue

have him trade contracts with brunell
i thinks he's been playing well.
but
Brian mitchell has been ripping him apart in CSN postgame reports.
brian says that tupa doesnt get any hang time and all his kicks are in the middle of the field. mitchell said he could average 20yds per return on the skins because of tupa.
he is 6 worst in punt return yards. normally i blame the coverage team but like mitchell says, he gets no hang time. also, he only has 8 fair catches out of 90 punts!!!
chicago has almost identical stats, but look at number of fair catches and return yards average per punt.
chicago only allows 7 yrdper return while we allow 11. also chicago ahs 17 faircatches while tupa had 8.
tupa isnt getting the ball in the air. no hang time equels big returns.
we need a punter that can angle his kicks and get alot of hangtime so the coverage guys can get downfield.

good read on the stats jamf.... although his hang time is down, i believe Tupa can improve on that in the off season as, in his defense, his distance and accuracy have been immacualte,
also, Tupa and Thrash are prolly the most nsync duo on our football team ... lol
