The thing with his offense is that it still required quick passes and decisions. I think that is a plus, because he has to make reads and smart choices, a key skill needed in the NFL.

Didn't Big Ben also run a similar offense in college?

Gabbert's got bust written all over him

You could potentially say that about every player selected in the draft.

I've got a feeling that Gabbert might be our guy. I think we get him in a trade up. Just a gut feeling, which I'm always wrong on when it comes to the Skins!

There are mock drafts [updated 4/28] that have Gabbert going to the Redskins at #10 without any maneuvering. It's a good thing we don't resort to them as a fact finding mission though they do exemplify the vast disparity of opinions.

All the speculation will end shortly.

Also, will these rookies be falling under the old rookie pay scale? I'm curious to know this.

Denver spreads the word they like Von Miller | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/27/denver-spreads-the-word-they-like-von-miller/)

They don't need to spread the word they have the 2nd pick.

Denver must REALLY want to trade out of that pick.
And with each leak they decrease its trade value.

That's not much better. You've had the best Corner in the game since 2004 or at least he was the best for most of the years since then. How does adding another corner change your defense? If I'm John Elway and I go defense with the 2nd pick I'm going either Dareus or Fairley.Have 2 CBs that can press and run helps the defensive coordinator be more aggressive and create pressure through scheme and it allows the non-blitz pressure a better chance to get home.

I think they should go Darreus as well, just not sure they will
Heck, I think the Panthers should go Dareus.
I think he's the best player in the draft.

This article is in reference to what is going in the new CBA. That said, since the court has lifted the lockout, and most likely the teams will act under the same rules as last year. (FA = 6 years, Uncapped year, etc) Do teams wait to sign the rookies when a new CBA comes about or will they sign them under the old guidelines. Which basically means you give Cam Newton a guaranteed 55-60 million...lol

Last years rules violate every antitrust law on the books. they will be forced to open under no rules if the courts dont stay the ruling.

I think that is one reason why Judge Nelson reamed the owners. The owners operate against antitrust rules only because the players allow them to.
