OK, so maybe I will not ride this to work but check out this classic bike I purchased at a fund raiser. Its a 1956 J C Higgins Sears & Roebuck bike made in the USA but its not the one in the Pic. It was a silent auction for Children's Hospice care. The only thing mine is missing is the front light and seat. Its in really good shape and I've decided to restore the bike and keep a small part of history. I will post a pic of mine when I find the cord for my camera. I guess I'll be the Peewee Herman of the neighborhood.

Awesome bike. Nice buy.

You better edit the last line before the rest of the guys see it though.

I can already see you the streets of Mayberry with this bike. The wind in your hair, a smile on your face and not a black or gay person insight. Ah good times.

Actually, I have JC Higgins over/under shotgun which I have had for many years. I guess Sears sold a lot of different stuff under that label. I can see me using it on you and your new bike!
BTW....Nice rig
Good Cause To!!

Thats cool but I don't think I'd mount that on a bike made in 1954 as it would ruin its value. I'm going to look into doing a complete restoration if its not too expensive. I can get it painted for next to nothing (I have a few shops I send allot of business and they would probably do it for free) but I also want to have all the chrome done and I need a few missing parts which will not be cheap.
