Not as far as I know. It's interesting that in the brief, Shanahan is mentioned as one of the coaches who may suffer from a prolonged lockout

Yup even if they might agree with the players the owners sign the checks and coaches generally have to play the "Company man" game

Not a good idea to speak out against your boss, but it's also not a good idea to speak out against people whom you need to perform for you in order for you to please your boss. I'm just absolutely confounded over why the coaches would get involved in this matter.

Not sure what all this means nor do I really care. Wake me up when the lockout is over.

Well the players are already speaking out against their bosses so this is nothing new. Coaches are already being negatively affected by the lockout since it is cutting into offseason preparation, which will result in poor team performance thus affecting their job security for coaches.

Reading an article on this I assumed our coaches only said something to clear the air b/c the brief cited damages to 8 new head coashes and 3 head coaches who have been retained for only 1 year (that includes shanahan).

I think our coaches said something to correct any misinterpretaiton that the skins coaching staff supports or was involved with the brief since the coaches association implicitly cited to the skins coaches when in actuality, the skins coaches were never contacted or conferred with re. the brief.

Geez, you would think they would have contacted the skins coaching staff before they pretty mich put their name on it.

I haven't read the brief yet, but on its face I was dissappointed to read the Burgundy and Gold coaches aren't together with the other coaches in the NFL in supprt of the of the players.
