I think mines was accurate. I lived my first 7 years in DC but then moved to Chicago before I turned 8 so it's no surprise that my accent, or lack thereof, could be traced back to the Midwest seeing as how during ages 8 to 13 your voice is still developing. I actually had a 6 year old cousin that lived in England for two years, had a British accent, and then lost it when he came back to the states.

I grew up around Chicago and really don't sound like I'm from there at all...so I graded out as Midland. And as of three years ago, I started to become able to tell the difference.
