Could The Redskins Be Planning a Trade For Haynesworth For Kolb

TO killa, I don't think the redskins are planning on doing this, but I don't think its as ridiculous a question as everyone makes it out to seem. Of course we would probably have to package in a 2nd rounder or with haynesworth but it is a possibility if we believe in Kolb. Shanny, Allen, and Snyder all have the "win now" mentality. They all know a qb is needed for that. I'd bet they are planning on not doing poor enough to pick one up in next years draft without trading up (which they do not want to do with our limited young talent). I don't think it will happen because I don't think that shanahan thinks kolb is worth it (he didn't dazzle me with better weapons around him on the eagles), and we would have to commit to kolb by giving him a lucrative contract. It doesn't quite make sense because the talent isn't there with kolb, but if shanny believed in kolb, I think it would make total sense.

UUUUHHH, Shanny believed in McNabb?

And that trade happened. I'm talking about realistic possibility that it will happen, not weather I like the idea.

Yeah, I am shocked that everyone sees this as so far fetched. Especially, with the nonsensical threads that we have been subjected to, due to the lockout. If the Eagles are serious about trading for Haynesworth, the only way we do this is if we are planning to trade them for Kolb. And yes, it will take a first or a second and Haynesworth to make the deal. If the trade is to happen, Haynesworth's value is simply the door opener, for the deal. Everyone thought I was crazy when I said that it would take a first a, a third, plus a QB for Cutler. I really don't think this is that far fetched. Kolb is the prototype QB for Shannahan's system.

That is nuts, in my opinion anything more than a our standard deal for a Philly QB is overkill...I think it was a 2nd and a 4th?
If that is so...I could see a 2nd and Haynesworth...but I am not sure how I'd feel about it if it happened....the reality is it aint gunna happen....the best thing that could happen to the skins is that we dump haynesworth for a 3rd and hold on to McNabb somehow...his value can only go up after another year if our stupid coaches dont bash him so badly

Do not be surprised if Kevin Kolb's price tag works out to be a first round pick plus a conditional 4th round pick.

Also, do not be surprised if the Seahawks and the Cardinals are the final bidders left in the auction.

For the Redskins to be involved here, the price would probably be higher since it would be an "intra-divisional trade".

Bottom line is that Kevin Kolb is not likely to be in a Redskins uniform any time soon and certainly not as the quid pro quo in a trade for Albert Haynesworth.

This entire thread is asinine.

I'd rather see a Haynesworth for Orton trade. Say no to Kolb.

Agreed. I feel like the writing has been on the wall for months now that he's going to be an Arizona Cardinal very shortly after FA begins.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell he becomes a Redskin, especially for anything involving Albert Haynesworth.
