I dont think that this question has ever been asked here. I searched for it, and it didnt come up.
How do they do it? I am sure the players all try and use the restroom before the game begins, but what if the urge just gets over-powering? I have been down to FedEx field many times for games, and I do not see any johnnies anywhere near the bleachers or in plain view.
Do they just run into the locker-room as fast as they can between plays? This is not meant to be a joke thread, it got me thinking about the NFL tonight when my cousin told me that one of the trainers at his gym told him that the reason why Roberto Duran said "No Mas" to Ray Leonard during their second fight was because he was having bad stomach cramps and was afraid he was going to crap himself in the ring.
I'm sure someone on here knows...

I've heard stories about NFL players who just piss themselves because they don't care. And on some occasions it keeps them warm. Not sure if that was just an old timer thing or if players nowadays still do it, but I can see it happening. What if you were in the midst of a game winning drive with under 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter and you couldn't hold it? I'd prob just do what I gotta do.

The more i think about it, and hearing what you guys say, i am sure there have been "accidents" on the field. I have seen it happen when people accidentally get punched in the liver or whatever during training, so i am sure it must happen in the NFL, just not often. TV must do a good job of editing stuff like that out.
I am chatting on facebook to my brother right now about this thread, and he told me that some Carolina Panthers guy crapped his pants right on the field, you could see it and everything, so i guess i was oblivious to all this lol.
In an interview, Kevin Greene said he would stuff a towel down his pants and go #1.
They had video of him doing it.

Not that I've played NFL football, but I played plenty of sports in high school and college and I can't ever remember feeling the need to go during the middle of the game/meet. While I was competing I never felt the need. Maybe that was dehydration or maybe it was mental.

I played high school ball, and even was on a practice roster for a semi-pro team in 2005, and both playing fields did have nearby restrooms, that was very close to the bleachers. During some games, some of the schools even would set up johnnies behind the team bleachers when their field was too far from the locker room/ bathroom.
Back then, i guess nervousness made me have to go literally every 2 to 3 minutes before the game. even if i hardly drank anything, it was like i had nervous bladder syndrome. It even gets me today sometimes when i am really anticipating something, and makes me really respect what the nfl guys have to go through.

Yeah I remember taking a leak during halftime once or twice, that's about it.

Here's a wild guess, but I wondering if all of that sweating has something to do with it. As in you sweat so much, you really don't have the need to go.
