I thought the rookie pay scale took care of this?

All the rookie pay scale is is a cap set on how much you can pay your rookies. It doesn't create set salaries so you still have to negotiate with them. It's not like the NBA's system. But we def. won't see guys like Cam Newton get 5 year, 78 mil contracts with 50 mil guaranteed anymore.

And the winner of most awkward situation goes to? The Washington Redskins with "will Fat Al and McNabb report to camp?"

Not only does Haynesworth plan to report to camp, his non-injury grievance against the Redskins remains unresolved: Haynesworth plans to report to training camp with grievence still pending - Washington Times (http://bit.ly/rrZ5Iv)

Oh it's good to talk about actual football again.

And now we get to talk Haynesworth and McNabb again? Sigh. The sooner Haynesworth is out of here, the better. As for McNabb, I have much less animosity towards him because he's been a class act, and I'd keep him around for a month if it meant getting a better deal. But I have no doubts we'll be hearing plenty of stories revolving around Haynesworth being at camp, or if Shanny decides to send him home so he can't risk further injury, or something else of that nature.
