Hard to put it in words, but basically, we gave up a 2nd and 4th for Mcnabb, but got a 4th for Campbell, and likely 2 6ths for McNabb. Given the state of our QB quagmire of the past 5 years, I would say that a clean slate with 3 extra picks was as good an ending of the past as anything else. If Minnesota was start, they'd wait for McNabb to be released and get him for free, but they're obviously: Aware of the competition from other teams needing QBs, particular vet QBs because of all of the 1st-round QB projects picked this year Worried about the lack of TC and preparation that Ponder was allowed to get. No way any team that drafted a QB and wants to start them Week 1 are ready. Tennessee, Minnesota, Jacksonville, Carolina...all going to need to start the regular season with a vet QB who can teach the rookie. Hasselbeck/McNabb/Garrard/Claussen will be starting Week 1.
