WFAN (NY Radio station) just said that within the last hour that a "mystery team" has emerged to challenge the Jets and Cowboys for Nnamdi Asomugha.

Guy is 100% right about it too. Let's just hope that Jerry pulls a Danny boy and blows his load of cash/cap on NA.

I apparently missed something on Cromartie because his coverage numbers two out of the last three years have been very good. But I've always felt he looked horrible out there. Lots of talent and no clue how to use it.

It's probably just because he's not good at pressing, and that's what hes doing when he starts on screen over a television feed. He usually just gets chucked out of the play in his first two steps.

Cromartie might actually be good, I don't know. I'm still skeptical.

Cromartie was easily let go from a very good Charges defense. His last year there was abysmal (the year ended with the playoff game where he twice avoided 2 tackles).

Last year I felt like he had a comeback year BUT I think he got alot of help with Revis on the other side. Cromartie has a bad habit of getting picked on by QB. I generally think he is overrated.

At the cornerback position this offseason, Joseph and Cromartie are going to get vastly overpaid.

I would think having Revis on the other side would tend to hurt the other CB. After all, the opposing qb's are going to throw against the other CB and avoid Revis whenever possible.

I disagree. Nnamdi can press, be physical, and tackle in a way that Cromartie can't (or won't).

Just heard that on the radio (WFAN). Also, Brunell took the release to free up cap room and will be brought back after Nnamdi is signed.

If the Jets don't get him, it will be as embarrassing as the Knicks not getting LeBron and the Yankees getting snubbed by Cliff Lee. They're doing all they can.


If Dallas ends up with him, they would have had to dismantle the team to get him and will be full of so many holes all over their roster by tying up so much of their little cap room in one player. They started in a huge hole with the new salary cap. :)
