Judge for yourself. Right Guard #65

Nice bro, or should I say, niiice, King of Posting Timely YouTube Videos.

I found it hard to watch Chester the first time I watched it simply because it was nice to just watch football highlights again. But I managed to watch Chester the second time and other than the fact that the entire video was against their matchup against the Chiefs in the playoffs, he did okay. There were a few plays where he didn't end up blocking anyone in particular, but on the plays he was blocking someone one-on-one he did a good job using his leverage and his hands and not getting taken advantage of with a bull rush or anything. I think there was only one play in the video where it showed him pulling but I didn't get a good eye on it. But on the bright side he does look young and mobile, which is a good thing for our zone blocking scheme. Overall not bad, I think he'll be a decent guard at minimum, but he won't be dominating anyone either.

Lol, no don't worry about it. I don't care about getting a bunch of subscribers. If I did I would take the time to put those captions in my videos. I'm still small enough that the NFL hasn't taken notice of an account with a bunch of videos featuring footage of their broadcast without their expressed written consent and I hope to keep it that way.

Please do keep it small time. I enjoy your vids as well especially since it's hard to be able to keep NFL footage vids up on Youtube without them finding out about it and shutting them down.

If worst comes to worst, there's always making them private and sharing the linkys to up to 50 "worthy" viewers. :D

No problem. Actually much easier now then when I first started. The Beck videos, my first two, took me like 1.5 hours each. Now I only need like half an hour to put together an 8 minute video. Some take as little as 20 minutes.

Careful man. All these compliments and pretty soon I'm going to be signing my post with a sharpie.

The thing I loved about him in watching this is he has to great mix of nastiness and finesse. Constantly gets to the second level, knows who to get on blitzes, and he's probably the best puller we've seen since Randy Thomas in his prime. Rice didn't put up great rushing numbers in this game but it certainly wasn't Chester's fault, many plays he was the only guy getting a push at the LOS. I was even more impressed that he was playing the more difficult Right Guard spot (regarded by Ross Tucker as the second toughest position on the O-Line.)

Only problem is he tends to waist bend at times. However after getting a chance to see him I have to say it's obvious why he was targeted by our FO and coaching staff.

thanks dirtbag, for being such an, erm... dirtbag.

he's not all that strong, but man is he fast... like a 4.3 for a WR, i think his combine was like 4.84 or something, which is rediculous... he's pulls really well, but it looks like he doesn't always know what to do in the open field, his angles didn't seem very good and he got to some defenders more backfield then he should have. i think he has potential, and he's a perfect shanny fit (i always go speed OL and get him in madden too, so there!).

ThatGuy - I agree. He doesn't have a ton of raw power, but he does have this sort of mean streak along with a motor that serves him well and he also seems to understand angles and combo blocks. He may not be a pro bowler but he is a very good fit for what this team is looking for up front, maybe even a perfect fit.

No denying that he can move though. Would be interesting to see how agile and fast he is compared to Williams.

what stat is that? 8th in total yards? If so it was probably because our defense sucked so bad we were always behind and had to throw to catch up.If our passing game was so impresive why we trading our starting qb for a 5th round pick?

top passing yard teams:
1 Indianapolis Colts
2 San Diego Chargers
3 New Orleans Saints
4 Houston Texans
5 Green Bay Packers
6 Dallas Cowboys
7 Denver Broncos
8 Washington Redskins
9 Philadelphia Eagles
10 New York Giants
11 New England Patriots

colts and saints passed 75 and 55 more times than we did, we had 37 less points than the next lowest on the list, and our QB rating was 78, the next lowest was 85.3 for the gints. our completion % was 57.7, tied with the broncos, the rest were all 62 or better.

btw, the chief threw 366 times (to our 305) and finished 31st in passing yards, so no, it's not super inflated cause we were behind, and QB was the WORST part of our passing game (low QB rating, low completion %), so the passing game DID NOT suck, was NOT overinflated due to being behind (though that would increase the yardage some, plenty of crappy teams did far worse).

the lack of winning had to do with the 18.9 ppg (25th), QB rating of 78 (22nd), 46 sacks (5th highest , or 27th best at protection), and the 57.7% completions (23rd).

All stats from nfl.com under 2010 passing offense if you need to verify, but they're not lying here. passing O was good despite crappy QB play and bad blocking.

yeah, footwork looked solid, he should start and be decent for us.

Most important part though is I think he's capable of blocking Haynesworth's overpaid butt on December 11th.

Any combo of Lichensteiger, Montgomery, Chester at G/C/G is 10 times better than any combo we had last year involving Rabach.

The thing I like about the signings is most of the guys are 27/28ish so we are going to be getting their prime time years out of them.

Agreed
