Raiders Select Terrelle Pryor

Terrelle Pryor was only player selected today. No other players were drafted; those players are now free to sign with any team.

Thank God he's not a Redskin.

Not too many guys around that can run 4.3 at 6-6. The Raiders are drafting him to play wr. If he embraces it, and takes to the coaching, it could be a good pick. But no way would i have given up a 3rd rounder for him. But I'm actually rooting for Oakland this year. Lot's of former Skins that were good people....Jackson, Rock, JC and Saunders.

Oakland continues to FAIL

I didn't think he was worth taking at rounds 1-4. Not because he is not talented, but because of all the baggage. I believe he's 1st round talent personally, but there's that ever present risk that he would need to be cut from the team ala Vince Young.

A fifth rounder would be low enough to invest in order to take that risk. The lower the investment, the lesser the commitment.

Better the Raiders then us, now if another team will step up and take one for the NFL and suck bad enough in order to take Luck off our board as well.

Hahahaha ... needed a good laugh to start the afternoon off. I disagree with people's thoughts about VC -- he would have given up this year's and next year's firsts to get TP

Somewhere right now, Vinny is foaming at the mouth not being able to one up Al by submitting a 2nd rounder for TP.

Hate to defend Vinny but if he was still in charge (aside from being dead myself from a self inflicted gunshot wound) he would be putting all his effort into proving Jimmy Clausen was worth the 4th overall pick.

Though right now the title of worst NFL team has to go to the Bengals.

Seeing the Raiders since the early 200's has convinced me that both Bruce Allen and Gruden are Gods among men.

Yeah I kinda wish the Raiders well actually. I think they would have deserved a lot of criticism if they had drafted Pryor as a QB, but it seems that they are drafting him as a wideout. Still not the best move for them, but I don't get the all the hate from people.
