A lot of bleedingheartness over a guy that has never done anything for the Redskins except to become a useless draft pick.
And he made how much money while doing that?

And he made how much money while doing that? Approximately 1.6 million guaranteed on his contract...and whatever incentives he met, which are probably very few, if any. Not sure about taxes though... CrustyRedskin 09-01-2011, 04:27 PM Approximately 1.6 million guaranteed on his contract...and whatever incentives he met, which are probably very few, if any. Not sure about taxes though... Yep, and lets move on down! move on down! move on down the roooad!!!! CRedskinsRule 09-02-2011, 08:22 AM So 864 players will be cut between now and tomorrow at 6pm. Of those players, only 256 will find spots on the practice squads. Does anyone think that the Skins might find a useful player in those cuts? Anyone expecting any surprises? I thought it was interesting on the broadcast last night that Bruce Allen left open the possibility of trades happening before tomorrow evening. We have a roster that seems to have some hidden talent, I wonder if we might be looking for a couple draft picks rather than just cutting players. Also Lance Briggs has formally asked the Bears to trade him, per Twitter. JoeRedskin 09-02-2011, 08:34 AM Is Briggs an inside backer? Does he still have anything left in the tank? If so, Stallworth for Briggs straight up (maybe throw in a 7th rounder). Why does he want to be traded? If he's an OLB - nm. CRedskinsRule 09-02-2011, 08:42 AM Two articles on Briggs, 2nd one is older Lance Briggs formally asks Bears to be traded | National Football Post (http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Lance-Briggs-formally-asks-Bears-to-be-traded.html) and Bears' Linebacker Lance Briggs, an Underrated Star | Bleacher Report (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/392171-bears-linebacker-lance-briggs-an-underrated-star) I don't know Chicago's defense, so I don't know if he makes sense to try for or not, just a "named" player. freddyg12 09-02-2011, 08:45 AM Lance Briggs again? Remember the proposed trade w/the bears in 07; our #6 for Briggs & #31? We got Landry w/that pick. Briggs is approaching the age of decline & he's always been a weak side 4-3 OLB. We've got 2 great starters at OLB & as we saw last night we could have a couple pretty good backups in Jackson & White. We've ran that rabbit once before. Hell no. I have issue with a guy who's 3 years into a heavily front loaded contract wanted to renegotiate. They've already paid all the big money so now he's using that same tactic as before. I normally favor players in situations like these (especially rookie contracts), but **** Lance Briggs. |
