Internet Spelling Errors.....skinsguy 08-31-2011, 04:15 PM ?Que? Case in point! ;-) skinsguy 08-31-2011, 04:16 PM stop being a hatter! I'm not that mad! Or is it madd? BleedBurgundy 08-31-2011, 04:35 PM Lazy or he doesn't give a shit? If its the latter then I don't blame him. Because its just a little football forum. clearly you mean "ladder." Hog1 08-31-2011, 05:08 PM Getting very confusing........http://www.texashatters.com/ mooby 08-31-2011, 09:52 PM I think I'm a pretty good speller, but a lot of the time I type so fast on the computer I miss an entire word completely. Up until about a month ago I used to think apparently was spelled apparantly. It wasn't until I typed that in google chrome that it notified me I was wrong lol. I just bought tapatalk for my phone so we'll see if I'm better on my phone than I am on my computer. My spelling in texts is nowhere near as good as it is on the comp though. tryfuhl 09-01-2011, 01:28 AM I see this online, in emails, and hand written signs pretty much daily.. An F'ing apostrophe before the s on a plural word WHERE IN THE HELL DID THAT START? I remember first seeing it on message boards but since then.. by people who don't use computers much.. etc.. WTF SBXVII 09-01-2011, 06:52 AM There are no rules when it comes to this sort of thing. A lot of people act like there is some deity that has to has to pass down or approve words. Not so. They just need to be popular and they will end up in the dictionary. I agree with you, but I was just throwing the word ain't out there to see if someone would get the joke. Growing up teachers used to say "ain't isn't in the dictionary so don't use it." No one got it. SBXVII 09-01-2011, 06:54 AM I'm not that mad! Or is it madd? Again, I simply thought it funny to use a misspelled word from one of our titles. Another missed joke. I'm batting a thousand. firstdown 09-01-2011, 03:22 PM Also i would bet a lot of the forum members here have learned English only as a second language, so their spelling may not be nearly as good as those who have know American English their entire lives. firstdown was English your native language? No, I first started talking shit. |
