The whole locker room went crazy. We were shouting, 'GEORGE, GEORGE, GEORGE...' It was electric. He talked about Dallas week and how he wanted to fly to Dallas and meet Tom Landry at midfield and fight him, and if he could beat Landry, we would win. ....Now he had these boards with him, and these other guys were holding the boards. He was going to break two boards with his hands, and two others with his feet, and if he could break those boards, we were going to beat Dallas. The place was going nuts, chanting, 'GEORGE, GEORGE, GEORGE!' Now he started to warm up and was making all kinds of noises and taking deep breaths. It was unbelievable. All of a sudden he screamed, came down, and broke the two boards with his hands and the other two with his feet, and the place went nuts! ..." - Rusty Tillman, from Hail Victory: An Oral History of the Washington Redskins by Thom Loverro SFREDSKIN 09-21-2011, 12:14 AM "...So one time in a meeting during Dallas week, all of a sudden we heard a GONG, ... and here came George (Allen), who was wearing his karate garb .... CultBrennan59 09-21-2011, 01:35 AM Like the way you think DC ! I see you're close to ASU , maybe( MLB ) V. Burfict will be lining up next to Fletcher in 2012 . I wish he was, the kid has some of the best instincts I've ever seen on a LB. I know you'll hear this from time to time, but I really do think the kid could be the next ray lewis. I'd take him or Jayron Hosley the CB from VT. He reminds me of Revis when he was in college. Meks 09-21-2011, 04:05 AM I think 2005 everyone is thinking b/c we had a ridiculous division record that year MonkFan4Life 09-21-2011, 05:37 AM IDC who they play, as long as we are 3-0 after MNF I'm good Pretty much ! CrustyRedskin 09-21-2011, 07:39 AM Tampa has ALWAYS been a hellhouse of horrors for us. It's the Redskins' Kryptonite. From Super Bowl XVIII to last year when Gano blew the extra point, we ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS seem to find a way to lose there. Dude we won a playoff game there in 06, ST returned a fumble for a TD. But i do remember a few crazy losses there sandtrapjack 09-21-2011, 08:26 AM I hate to be a party pooper but this whole Dallas/Redskin thing is just not what it use to be. I tend to agree. Although the history of these two franchises is greatly respected, the Cowboys rivalry with the Giants is now more intense than any other team in the NFC East. redskin37 09-21-2011, 09:07 AM We need a healthy Landry and win in the turnover battle. skinsfaninok 09-21-2011, 09:39 AM Romo will start |
