Anyone else think that Cooley looked slow, and not the usual slow where he breaks 100 tackles. I'm talking about slow slow after the catch he just looked like he didn't have any gas in the tank?
Yes, I did. He's still getting over his injuries I suppose. Unfortunately, it is the NFL and as much as we all like Cooley it's a business. Next year might be very questionable for CC.

I don't know what his future holds, but I don't think he should be running the ball on 3rd and short. I'm still scratching my head at the two attempts he had in Monday night's game.

According to Casserly, next year Cooley will be a big cap hit. I hope he restructures and stays with the team. He still has a lot to offer and he's the kind of team player we want. Nothing wrong with having two quality TE's. If Davis were to go down...then what? When they're both on the field, I think if they're used properly and Cooley's healthy, it can cause problems for the defense.

This "you let your D do what it's doing" principle is superseded by the "don't let your opponent know what you are doing" principle. Considering that he called the SAME play twice in a row already, you DO NOT do it a third time. If the opponent knows what you play is, they'll find a way to beat. Not only that, BEATING A cover-0 means BIG PLAY almost every time.
Also, playing prevent USUALLY results in a dumpoff to the back. He could have called an overload blitz to one side, a zone blitz. An all-out cover-0 blitz was NOT necessary.Agree 100%. The coaches across the field get paid too and they're going to figure it out....obviously.
Calling the same play 3 times in a row on a critical drive is pretty bush-league IMO.

Crash landing back to reality. Grossman is not and should not be a professional athlete. Orakpo, drink your damn gatorade you.....
We lost to a very injured and weakened Dallas team. Their center has premature snap. Four times! Embarrassing. How did we lose that game?
Simple... Grossman

Gibbs called the same running playing in time after time with Riggins and company, basically saying to the other team you have not showed me you can stop it so I will keep shoving it down your throat.
Same on Monday night the Skins had run 0 coverage 2 times with great success, so in their minds they were saying you Dallas have shown you can't stop it so we will do it again. Romo beat them on it on the third go around it happens but it was still the best bet choice at the time.
The D was definitely not the bad guy Monday night.
