Monkeydad 10-19-2011, 12:20 PM Wow, just heard on Fox News Radio that they ordered everyone to stay in their houses...about 50 animals to catch. They had to give a shoot-to-kill order because of the danger to the public by these animals...no way the police will know how to safely catch tigers and bears. They've put down a lot of them so far. I just hope they spare the monkeys. The crazy lady set a zoo loose then killed herself. Gee, thanks. People are commenting about "waaaah, why can't they tranquilize them and transport them?" It's not an easy thing to do...there aren't just unlimited places to send these animals...and they need to get this under control as quickly as possible to protect the public. I've seen shows where people keep buffalos in their homes, horses, bears, tigers, etc. The stupidity of it just ticks me off to no end. Yeah, I'd prefer they didn't kill the animals either, but it'd be a logistical nightmare to catch them and figure out where to transport them, as well as where they'd stay. Whomever said human life is more important than animal life, well they were right. Sucks but that's the way its gotta be.
