MTK 11-26-2012, 03:58 PM what's a CD? ;) Hog1 11-26-2012, 04:47 PM ..........stop it! firstdown 11-26-2012, 05:53 PM i am grandma, but that unit plays cds, ipods, iphones, usb sticks, bluetooth streaming, etc. This would make the most sense. I'll have to say I have never down loaded music and maybe its time to start. I won't have to switch everything over to USB Sticks right away but moving foward I can start down loading any music I want. When down loading music do you pay for each time you load the song or the one time down load. I'm sure my wife would laugh if she saw this post. I don't even own an Ipod. BTW What is a USB stick? itvnetop 11-26-2012, 06:23 PM w your receiver, listen to a song on an original cd and then the same song w your ipod or usb. You can still rip your discs to lossless format (like FLAC), which sounds pretty much like tracks from a CD. los panda 11-26-2012, 06:29 PM This would make the most sense. BTW What is a USB stick?usb flash drive, most people in my office call them sticks, i guess it rubbed off. i think we're the minority, i've also never owned an ipod. you pay once, and it's yours to replay how often you like. does that unit look like it can do everything you want it to? like i said, i'm partial to alpine. many moons ago, my cda-7998 had a problem w the screen (i used to bake my car often, i attribute the problem to that), and they fixed it at no cost to me... AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD. bless their hearts Hog1 11-26-2012, 06:50 PM Best Answer: Car Selector (http://www.crutchfield.com/app/car/outfitmycar/car.aspx) It's been said before and MRedskins has reiterated. You can call these guys and tell them your story. They'll walk you through all you need and help you with a good decision....Nice people and very helpful. You can get a nice head unit without breaking the bank unlike some years ago. Ask plenty of questions Unless your doing a complete "Gut" of your old system, head unit, speakers, etc, you will have some compatibility considerations. They can also handle that for you so it WILL sound as you IMAGINE it to be....... The Goat 11-26-2012, 11:56 PM I like Crutchfield but holy crap they're expensive. So hard when you can buy the same products for a third the price (and you know what to do with them). Hog1 11-27-2012, 08:09 AM I like Crutchfield but holy crap they're expensive. So hard when you can buy the same products for a third the price (and you know what to do with them). Yah...they are on the higher side of the price curve. BUT, if you're not sure what you need.....it will be money well spent. I'm getting ready to do a ground up install on a restoration I have and I will likely give them my business...... |
